Why Use Milk To Remove Makeup And Not Soap?

Our skin needs to be perfectly balanced, starting with the surface, to offer the best protection. Our skin has a protective barrier on the surface that helps lock in moisture and lock out impurities. Using soap to remove makeup/ impurities destroys this barrier, leaving our skin naked. Facial soap is specially designed to be softer than regular hand soap. They are also generally followed by a skincare routine to restore the protective layer.

When using milk to remove your makeup, it is much softer on the skin. Removing makeup, pigments or impurities dissolves the elements to wash them away. Cleansing milk is ideal for all skin types if you select the right product.

My Experience

Biologique Recherche knows the way to my heart. Their vegetal milk cleanser is a pure delight to use. It dissolves all makeup with a soft fragrance and light yet creamy texture. Their pump container is also ideal for dosing the right amount of product. I used the milk with my hands to remove and cleanse my face in the evening. The softness of my skin after using the milk was terrific. Although the product is gentle on the skin, I recommend applying a moisturizer afterwards.
