By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Foundation is a new foundation that launched last year. I am using this foundation for almost a month now. As clear from the name, it focuses on hydration. Hydration is commonly confused with oiliness. In other words, hydration is not oiliness. Hydration keeps the skin comfortable and healthy whether it is put on the skin like a skincare product or taken into the body as water. The same is the case with Hyaluronic Acid for skin and the hydration that it provides.

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Foundation is a very lightweight hydrating foundation. The texture of the foundation is runny and a few drops are required to achieve the needed coverage. As advised by the brand, 2 drops for sheer coverage, 4 drops for medium coverage, and 6 drops for full coverage. I use 2-3 drops and I get a nice sheer to medium coverage. I do not need the feel of more as it does blur out my problem areas while looking very natural at the same time. It applies very well with fingertips as well as a brush.

Packaging & Shades

The foundation comes in a frosted glass bottle that has a teardrop shape. There is a dropper to dispense the foundation. The foundation is available in a wide shade range covering all undertones. I have swatched medium skin tones for your reference:

300W – Medium fair with warm undertones
400C – Medium with cool undertones
400N – Medium with neutral undertones
400W – Medium with warm undertones (my shade)

I feel it is light and fresh on the skin. As the day goes on, it looks more radiant and dewy. It does not look oily at all. Despite being a hydrating foundation, it stays put together even on the oily areas of my combination skin like the sides of the nose. The longevity is pretty impressive.

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Foundation blurs the problem areas on my skin like dark spots, fine lines, and pigmentation. It does not accentuate dry areas on the skin. The added benefit is that it provides sun protection with SPF30. Overall, the skin looks smooth, radiant, fresh, healthy, and supple. Moreover, it feels very comfortable on the skin, more like a second skin. I am reaching out for it every day, definitely a new favorite.

Tool-Expert Stencil Foundation Brush

Tool-Expert Stencil Foundation Brush is a liquid makeup brush. The bristles are very soft and densely packed. It does not irritate my skin. There is a hollow center on the brush that retains the product for even application and coverage. I think this is a very interesting and unique feature I have not seen in any other brush. So when I am not using my fingertips to apply the foundation, I simply put two drops of the foundation on the hollow center with the dropper. Then, I apply directly on my skin and blend while applying. It truly works as it claims. Even application and very easy to apply and blend.

By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra-Foundation works well with the other products from By Terry Hyaluronic range including the Hyaluronic Pressed Hydra-Powder and Primer.

I am also loving the new By Terry Hyaluronic Global Face Cream. It is such a lovely moisturizer. It makes the skin look so supple and radiant. My skin is the most healthy and comfortable these days. I use the cream day and night.

My Thoughts

I am really enjoying this stick foundation with the radiant finish. By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick Foundation has a twist-up stick on one end and a sponge applicator on the other end. The stick has two products in one, one half is the foundation and the other half is the highlighter.

By Terry Nude-Expert Duo Stick Foundation is a beautiful velvety smooth cream foundation in a stick that has buildable coverage. It glides on really easily on the skin and is very easy to blend. The foundation and highlighter in one give a really beautiful and radiant finish, it does not look like that the half highlighter part is more dominant but it is just perfect that it looks naturally radiant and a beautiful natural glow along with an even skin with medium coverage. I do use my spot concealer with this stick but otherwise, I do not feel the need to use anything to brighten up my undereye, it seems to be enough for me. The creamy formula does not feel greasy or heavy after application or even during the day but is lightweight. Buy HERE.

Another great thing is the lasting power, I have been really enjoying this for over 7-8 hours and as the day passes by, it looks more and more natural and radiant, like it melts into the skin and makes the skin look so naturally radiant. I apply it straight from the stick and glide it from the center of my face outward. Then, I blend with the brush, with my fingertips, or with the attached sponge, it is so easy to blend and work with. I am really impressed with how effortless it is to use and how easy it is to look glowy and radiant with even skin. Also, the packaging is perfect for me to keep this in my bag for touchups and even for travelling.

2 Neutral Beige – Matte cool light foundation and sheer pearl highlighter

2.5 Nude Light – Matte neutral light foundation and sheer pearl highlighter

3 Cream Beige – Matte warm beige foundation and sheer pearl highlighter

4 Rosy Beige – Matte cool beige foundation and sheer pearl highlighter

5 Peach Beige – Matte neutral tan foundation and golden pearl highlighter

Lastly, 15 Golden Brown – Matte neutral dark foundation and golden pearl highlighter

For my medium tan skin tone, my closest match is 9 Honey Beige as my base and 15 Golden brown for contouring my jawline and cheeks. As you see in the pictures, the highlighter in the first five shades has a champagne pearl colour while the second five shades have a sheer golden champagne colour highlighter. I like how the highlighter matches with the shades to suit the skin tones to give a natural radiance. There is a nice sweet scent in the formula but fades away pretty quickly.

Overall, this is a really nice everyday base if you are looking for something that looks natural, is lightweight, radiant, medium coverage, long-lasting, and luxurious.
