Cleansing Purifying Scrub is a staple for my sensitive and oily scalp that has buildup and sometimes dandruff. It is the only product I reach out for when my scalp needs some extra care. Also, when I feel my scalp is itchy or irritated or has product buildup, I trust this product. I apply a tablespoon equivalent of the product to my damp hair and scalp. Then, I gently massage Cleansing Purifying Scrub while adding some water that lathers it. It does not feel rough or hard at all. It immediately soothes and calms any irritation. Once rinsed, it does make my hair tangle and a little dry but then, I follow up with my favorite Detangling Gelee with Sea Minerals from Christophe Robin. It is such an amazing combination. But you can follow with any of your favorite conditioner or mask after rinsing off this scrub. The scrub exfoliates, cleanses, rebalances, and calms the scalp.

The Scent

This limited-edition La Bretagne version of Cleansing Purifying Scrub infuses the hair with a fresh, invigorating, and aromatic fragrance. It makes me think of the salty seawater blowing over the cliffs and waves crashing the rocks on the shores. The opening of the scent is pine, then comes the aquatic notes, and the base is sandalwood, musk accord with hints of patchouli. The scent is very uplifting and calming. It takes the whole experience, even for me who is using the original version for years now, to a whole new level. I can smell the scent while in the shower as well as sometime after unless I am using a fragranced conditioner after it.

Overall, Cleansing Purifying Scrub is my go-to and this new limited-edition version is such a welcome. I hope this cult-favorite product adds this version to the permanent collection. Moreover, I like the overall concept and fresh change to the bestseller from the brand.
