If you are on this page, I am sure you know just how frustrating and uncomfortable an irritated scalp can be. From the visual aspect to the continuous itchiness, an unbalanced scalp is no joke! Moroccanoil scalp treatments are not new but promise some well-needed soothing.

Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment

This dry scalp treatment is a five-minute, pre-cleansing oil. Composed of all-natural ingredients and precious essential oils, it instantly soothes, moisturizes, and exfoliates your scalp. If you need relief, then this is the product for you. The oil is specifically designed for dry, flaky, or itchy scalps. Inside its beautifully scented formula are some well-known and quick-acting ingredients:

• Salicylic acid: Helps prevent flakiness.
• Geranium oil: Soothes irritated and red scalps.
• Argan oil: Deeply nourishes the skin.

• Tightness and discomfort: Observe how your head feels daily. Do you experience any tightness or discomfort whilst styling it? If so, this could be a sign of dehydration or dryness.
• Oily, greasiness: You can generally tell if you have an excess of sebum on the scalp. If your hair gets dirty quickly and needs to be washed more than two times a week, this could be a sign of overproductive sebaceous glands.
• Dandruff: Same as an oil scalp type. You notice this one pretty quickly. If you have small white flakes at the roots of your hair, then this s dandruff. There are many causes for dandruff, such as fungal presence, dryness and over-shampooing your hair. Extremely frustrating, it can leave you with itchy, irritated zones on the scalp.
• Dryness and flakes: Visually similar to dandruff, dryness on the scalp results in flakes of dead skin being broken off. This is caused by a lack of oil in the skin. Dry flakes generally fall from the hair, contrary to dandruff which mostly sticks to the roots.
