Amouage Epic Woman

The Amouage Epic Woman perfume is the perfect combination of light floral notes, mixed with deep, peppery aromas. According to Amouage, this fragrance was inspired by the eternal legends of the ancient Silk Road from China to Arabia. And that explains why the fragrance leaves a lingering oriental spice after it has been sprayed.

The Keynotes are:

• Top Notes: Cumin, Pink Bay, Cinnamon.
• Heart Notes: Damascene Rose, Geranium, Jasmine, Tea.
• Base Notes: Amber, Musk, Oud, Frankincense, Guaiac Wood, Orris, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vanilla.

The fragrance itself opens with notes such as cinnamon, cumin and pink bay – followed closely by a flood of floral scents. It also has base notes of vanilla and frankincense which adds a smoothness – while geranium, rose, jasmine and tea are the core ingredients that really stand out. Not to mention, it contains oud, one of the most luxurious and expensive ingredients in the world, for the perfect finish. Each formula is aged for five years before being sold, too, so that the notes have time to blend to excellence.

To me, the most impressive part of this fragrance is that 56% of the formula is pure perfume oil. This not only means that the scent is rich enough to last much longer than other fragrances, but it also means that a little bit goes a very long way. I only spray each wrist once, and can still smell the perfume as strongly at the end of the day as when I first put it on.

For my man, I like Epic Man on him.
