The time I reviewed Givenchy Bouncy Highlighter – African Light Gold, I love how it performs, apart from being a beautiful work of art and design, the formula is so unique and jelly-like. The shimmering glow it provides really accentuates the complexion and looks amazing for outdoors as well as indoors. In Givenchy Les Saisons 2018 African Light Collection, there are two new shades of Rouge Interdit Vinyl and a new shade of Khol Couture waterproof.

Givenchy Les Saison 2018 African Rouge Interdit Vinyl

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl is medium color lipstick formulated with black rose oil for ultimate shine, impactful color, and a plumping effect. The unique formula is infused with black rose oil, a rare and precious active ingredient that delivers extreme moisture and comfort to the lips for hours. It is combined with a silicone resin that forms a shiny, thin, and supple film on the lips’ surface for a second-skin feel. Lips are left with a “vinyl” radiance and a filling effect: lips instantly appear fuller, smoother, and denser. Each high-shine color blurs away all the lips’ tiniest imperfections and reflects the light, and its slick case features a metallic, satin ribbon design that’s inspired by the House’s fashion designs.

I reviewed Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl last year in details here, the formula is one of my favorites. It is very moisturizing, sheer and easily buildable, very comfortable to wear. It does not accentuates lines and never makes my dry lips drier, in fact after the product has worn off, I still feel moisture on the lips. The lipsticks have a beautiful shiny finish. The lipstick can be used as a soft stain or layer it up for more intense effect. The two shades from the collection include No 17 and No 18. No 17 is a golden burgundy shade and will really look great on many skin tones. No 18 is a raspberry red.

Givenchy Les Saison 2018 Khol No 8 African Bronze

Givenchy Khol is one of my favorite eyeliners for its pigment-rich, long-lasting, and smudge-proof formula. The khol is enriched with intense color pigments. Its long-wear formula resists humidity and glides seamlessly onto your lids. Its retractable pencil means the application is precise and fast, and its comfortable and smooth texture allows for all-day wear. The array of colors interplay with the seasons to define eyes year round.

Givenchy Khol Couture Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner 01 black and 02 chestnut are my daily go-to eyeliners from Givenchy which I reviewed in details here. The texture is smooth and creamy and once it sets, it lasts a really long time. The new African Bronze shade is really wearable. It is a khaki shade with golden pearls, designed to emulate the African earth, vegetation, and sun. I love the family of green for my eyes and this khaki is one of the most beautiful shade I own in green after my khaki eyeliner from Chanel which was also a limited edition, I will update the exact name of it if you need. The golden pearls do not make it even a less intense shade of khaki but give a beautiful finish. It is easily buildable and the formula is great for even sensitive eyes like mine. Givenchy Prisme Blush (CAD $55 excl taxes) is the reinvention of the original Prisme blush. The blushes are compacted into the shape of the legendary prisms. The formula is light powder and easy to use. The compact holds two carefully selected shades that complement each other. The palest pearly shade provides the light which can be used as a base where the color is applied or as a highlighter to add dimension by spotlighting the areas of the face that catch the light naturally like the top of cheekbones, the bridge of the nose, and the temples (starting above the eyebrow roots). The darker shade gives a healthy radiant glow and can be used on the apples of the cheeks.

Prisme Blush has a new nomadic compact case which is a perfectly geometrical rectangle of shiny, lacquered jet-black. It is stamped with the seal of the 4G and embellished with the iconic Couture metal stud. Inside the compact case is a brush and has the perfect density to pick up a generous brushful of powder and a great travel companion too. The angled shape of the brush is designed to structure the face and has a dual function, which is it can smooth with the long side, or draw with the tip. The Blushes and swatches in the pictures below are Shades No 1 Passion and No 4 Rite. Black Tahitian PEarl Powder helps provide smoothness and provides radiance. Synthetic Pigments provide sparkling colors and a radiant matte finish. Lauroyl and Lysine adds ease of application, even ness and great staying power of the product. This lasted on me for over 8 hours.

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl (CAD $38 excl taxes) is an extreme shine lipstick with intense color and moderate coverage. The formula provides extreme shine and is very comfortable to wear. It has moisturizing and the texture is easy to wear. The Glossy Oils and silicone resin provide extreme brilliance and plumping effect. Extract of Black ROse Oil macerated in soft almond oil provides comfort and moisturization. Crystal clusters of calcium carbonate in the form of desert rose provide intense color and blurring effect. This lipstick is available in 8 shades and the one in the swatches is 16 Noir Revelateur.

Le Rouge Perfecto (CAD $42 excl taxes) is a 3 in 1 lip product. It is a Balm, Maximizer and Pink Enhancer in one tube. As a Balm, it has a melting texture with shea extract for high moisturizing power. As a maximizer, Pepperslim and coolact give plumped lips. As a pink Enhancer, the texture infused with Eosin provides naturally glowing and rosy lips. The packaging of the product is in the pink genuine leather case along with metallic tube encapsulating the product.

Givenchy Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick  Shade 25 ( CAD $45 excl taxes) is a limited edition lipstick which is smooth and long wearing. The lipstick has light reflecting color which nourishes and hydrates the lips with the power of antioxidants. The packaging is in a black and silver tube adorned with a ribbon at one end that unlocks this beautiful product. The texture is fine and very spreadable like it melts over the lips.

These products are beautiful and have been on a continuous rotation since some time. The quality and results are amazing. They are available for purchase at Sephora.
