This creamy rich texture is a lifting and firming night treatment. It does all the hard work for you whilst you get some well-deserved rest.

By restoring moisture lost during the day the skin is deeply replenished. This brings a sense of comfort and elasticity to the skin. This mask focuses on targeting any loss of elasticity or tonicity. Doing so prevents and corrects fine lines and wrinkles.

With such a high price, I was expecting something very special and I was not let down.

La Prairie is known for their highly concentrated formulas and innovative ingredients. Inside the sleep mask is many rich, rare actives that push this product to the top of scientific progress. The star of the product is Caviar. Rich in marine nutrients that help nourish skin it has three main actions.

-Uncrease. Renewing the skin during sleep reduces fine lines. The skin is smoother.

-Firm. By boosting the creation of collagen our skin becomes firmer.

-Seal. Locking in moisture reduces water loss and dehydration. Skin is plumped and protected.

Fact: Did you know that Caviar only exists in dark places. It thrives in the deep night of the ocean. Existing in 5 different forms, the sleep mask contains caviar extract.

Blue cobalt.

The whole range is packaged in a luxurious deep blue colour. Caviar was first spotted in the La Prairie studio in 1987. Enshrined in a vibrant, potent colour – that richest of blues, cobalt. Not only looking good this protects the cream from light and contamination.

How to use it?

After cleansing and toning your face, follow with an oil/serum of your choice.

Using the spatula take a pea-sized amount of the Sleep mask and place it on the cheeks, forehead and chin. Use a brush to apply the product for an even layer. Then, I allow it to dry completely. After each application, I make sure to rinse the brush with soap and water and allow it to air-dry. The morning after, proceed with your usual face wash and skincare routine.

My Experience

It was my first time discovering a caviar-based product and I must say, it is amazing. The texture of Skin Caviar Luxe Sleep Mask is a silky cream that instantly melts into the skin. I woke up with baby soft skin and it made me feel great about myself.

My skin was bright, plumped and looked very healthy from the first application. This product is an investment, but a well worth one. You only need a tiny amount of product to cover the whole face. This is a product for people who are serious about their skincare routine and general skin health.

The brand is the leader in innovation and craftsmanship in the most luxurious and effective way. The launches have been on my radar since the brand first unveiled the first look. The vision, craftsmanship, and the beauty of discovering something so precious. And presented in a way that elevates your senses and skin is amazing. I am a fan of the La Prairie Skin Caviar range. A few of my favourites include Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex, Skin Caviar Essence-In-Foundation, and Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF 15.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Loose Powder

La Prairie Skin Caviar Loose Powder is infused with caviar extract for complexion perfection. It makes a perfect conclusion to an indulgent beauty ritual. Actually, the best you can offer to the skin after the skincare routine. Skin Caviar Loose Powder sweeps lightly on the skin. It embraces the skin with the most feather-light whisper of powder for a flawless finish. It illuminates the complexion and sets makeup for an all-day youthful, natural, shine-free finish.

The powder refines the skin's texture and smooths the appearance of fine lines and problem areas while minimizing the appearance of pores. It does not make the skin dry, but the Hyaluronic acid keeps the skin comfortable and hydrated and preserves the level of hydration in the skin. It also sets the foundation for long wear and provides a natural, matte, luminous finish for a youthful glow. I am so in love with this powder, all you can ask for is powder. The skin is matte and still looks radiant, youthful, and naturally flawless. I have swatched the shade Translucent 2 which is one of the three available shades.

The powder is housed in the signature elegant cobalt blue jar with a convenient hinged lid. The attention to detail is definitely worth the praise. There is a little click button on the loose powder. Clicking the button will open the holes on the top to dispense the powder. It is the first of its kind for me. Other loose powders become messy when jar is opened or shaken a little vigorously.

Skin Caviar Powder Foundation is infused with Caviar Extract for complexion perfection. The formula glides on flawlessly to envelop skin in a silky veil of complexion-enhancing color. Skin Caviar Powder Foundation begins as a creamy base and sets to a cashmere-soft finish. The foundation is buildable, blendable coverage for a matte yet luminous, fresh look all day long. The powder foundation comes in a sleek cobalt blue compact. It has two mirrors – both a regular and a magnifying mirror.

I have been using both the loose powder and the powder foundation for over two weeks. The Powder Foundation, like no other powder foundation I have tried. It magically refines my skin's texture, smooths the appearance of fine lines and problem areas while minimizing the appearance of pores. The same is the loose powder, it also keeps the skin comfortable and hydrated which means luminous to the eyes.

The finish of the powder foundation is very natural, matte, and luminous. I do not prefer powder formulas as they do look a little flat and lifeless on my skin. But this one has changed my opinion, my skin looks radiant which is always my preference. I have swatched the shade Golden Beige and Honey Beige. Golden Beige is closer to my skin tone.

To apply Skin Caviar Powder Foundation, ‘With the accompanying suede-like puff or with La Prairie’s Powder Foundation brush, apply with a press-and-roll motion, starting at the forehead, working over the bridge of the nose, over each cheek and finishing with the chin. Blend around the hairline and down the nose, avoiding brows. Continue to blend around the mouth, along the jawline and down the neck for seamless coverage.'

Overall, both the colour launches have really impressed me. I highly recommend you to try these out in stores or get a sample, they are well worth the investment when it comes to makeup with skincare benefits.

It feels so rich yet lightweight, glides onto the skin so easily and sinks in to give a smooth, refined, and firm skin. My skin feels so soft, toned, supple, and tightened. I have been really happy with how my skin behaves when I use this cream, I do see and feel the transformation it has made.

There is no residue after applying the cream, there is a very natural glow, my pores look so tight and my skin looks like a smooth canvas. It works perfectly under my makeup as well as during the night. It has not caused any breakouts or congestion on my combination skin, instead, I do feel my skin is so much toned and firm. This is indeed such an exquisite experience to indulge in this precious cocktail of amazing ingredients remastered into this masterpiece.

My Thoughts on Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex

I use it morning and evening, one dot under my eye, and apply it with a light tapping motion from the outer to the inner corner. This eye gel causes me no irritation, no fragrance, and no residue. My eye area looks lighter and tighter, I feel it is getting more and tighter with each passing day. The packaging of the La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-In-Foundation is a portable, spill-proof liquid compact foundation. The color-true formula provides long-lasting wear, natural-looking, semi-matte finish. The caviar water supports skin firmness and hydration. SPF 25 in the foundation protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. There is a complimentary compact with a refill. Skin Caviar Essence-In-Foundation is available in 8 shades and is a great foundation to be your partner while on the go. 

My Thoughts

I am very impressed with this foundation that it is a hard time choosing between Skin Caviar Essence-In-Foundation and Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF 15. The texture of the foundation is smooth and creamy, the coverage is light to medium, and very easily buildable. The foundation blends into the skin seamlessly. The finish is very natural, semi-matte which for me is perfect for a natural glowy face. The staying power is great. It stays put for the whole day. The best thing is that the compact is very travel-friendly.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-In-Foundation is hydrating and does not emphasize my dry areas or the problem areas. I have not seen any breakouts or irritation from this new launch. Another good thing is the foundation comes with a refill inside the box. So just to mention again there are two refills in total. One is already in the compact and one more inside the packaging. The shade I have swatched is the Satin Nude N-30. It is a medium deep-neutral for my medium skin tone on the golden side.

I prefer a natural look for everyday. That means, a better version of me. So, I prefer a natural radiant finish. This is such a gorgeous foundation for everyday use. I am really looking forward to more trips and travel with this compact apart from my regular use.

To use this, I press the cushion and then tap few dots on the face. Then, I blend with either my fingers or a brush Otherwise, if you are comfortable you can use the puff that comes with it.

I highly recommend you to check La Prairie Skin Caviar Essence-In-Foundation. Other base makeup products I love from La Prairie are Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation SPF15 and Skin Caviar Loose Powder.

My Thoughts

I have been using this foundation for the last few days and every time I use it, it is a luxurious ritual I would say. From taking the product out to applying and blending it into the skin, everything is so perfect. The texture of the product is very smooth, blends very easily, and looks very natural. This is the most natural-looking foundation that I have used, skin looks naturally beautiful and bright. It does have skincare benefits and helps protects the skin from various age-related as well as environmental factors.

The concealer on the top of the foundation jar is very creamy and pigmented. It is very easy to apply with the accompanying brush, it blends easily and conceals the imperfections very well. When used under the eyes, it makes the area bright. The foundation coverage is buildable.  I have combination skin and I did not experience any irritation or breakouts with this. I have used it with my fingers, brush, and beauty blender, the results are marvelous with all three. My skin tone is medium tan with yellow undertones and the shade “Golden Beige” suits perfectly with my tone.

The formula and the finish are so impressive. It is indeed one of the best foundations I have used. The staying power is great, I did no touchups the whole day. I am a fan of essences and lotions that are used before the serum. Essence creates the perfect base on the skin to get the most benefits out of the serum. I have been using this morning and night before my serum. The essence-in-lotion comes packed in a heavy glass bottle. I take 3-4 drops of this product on my palm and apply it to my cleansed face with both hands. Then, I massage it until absorbed into the skin.

I did feel a slight difference in how my skin feels after the first use only. And after using it for more than a month, I do feel my skin is more refined, hydrated, and conditioned. It has a very subtle and luxurious fragrance. I sometimes just open the bottle of this essence-in-lotion to inhale the beautiful fragrance.

My Thoughts on La Prairie Skin Caviar Liquid Lift

This serum is an all-rounder product in my opinion. I am using this regularly every night during my nighttime routine. And more than three times during my daytime routine. I have noticed the difference. I see a major difference in how my skin looks and feels. Apart from glow and clarity, I see the quality and texture of the skin have improved. No wonder why this line and this product are expensive and loved by so many celebrities and stars.

My skin feels moisturized and firm. The appearance and texture of my skin are better. The skin feels brighter and radiant after applying this serum. The golden caviar beads are stored in a separate chamber. The beads turn into a milky emulsion with golden micro-shimmer particles.
