Laura Mercier has launched Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo. You might be curious if it is the same Iconic Secret Camouflage or is it something different. Let me get to the difference also, but later in this post. Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo is the 2-in-1 corrector and brightener duo. It corrects the skin imperfections and brightens the under-eye area. The Corrector side and the Brightener side are clearly mentioned on the packaging of the duo stick.

Laura Mercier defined the French concept of “camouflage” when she launched her “Secret Camouflage” palette in 1996. Camouflage was the reason she started her own brand at first. To Camouflage is to retouch the face in order to get the skin to be the most real and the most natural possible. I can relate to it so much. I have always believed in enhancing the face in the most natural way to feel and look real.

Secret Camouflage vs Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo

While comparing Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo to the Secret Camouflage (reviewed here), I notice the texture. The Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo is weightless compared to Secret Camouflage. The Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo is a medium to full buildable coverage. Secret Camouflage is creamier and heavy than the new launch. But I assure you, they both work so well to conceal and correct.

The two different shades in Secret Camouflage helped allow customize the shade and undertone to match the skin tone. I have used Secret Camouflage for years to conceal my dark spots, blemishes, scars, discolorations, and redness. It is best to warm Secret Camouflage on the finger and then apply and blend.

My thoughts on Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo

Now, coming to the Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo. Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo is very easy to apply. As it has a weightless texture, I apply the corrector side directly to my problem area. Then, I blend with my finger. It blends in quickly and looks very natural. Once I am done with correcting, I go ahead and apply the brightener under my eyes. Again, it is weightless and I can't even feel it on my skin. I use 4N and it is the perfect match for my skin tone. Both the corrector and brightener look so natural on the skin. I wore them for a full day and the staying power is pretty good. It does not settle in the lines or problem areas or even the dry areas. It is the only product I use these days to look put together for virtual meetings.

Overall, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer Duo is a really nice launch from the brand I have adored for years now.

Laura Mercier is a brand that has some really amazing products you can trust for every day as well as occasional looks. The products are so versatile, they perform and work so well. I was really looking forward to the Boheme Chic Color Collection, especially the Boheme Chic Eye Palette, the first look on the brand's website and on the social media posts all rose the excitement even more. The shades in the palette look so perfect and absolutely wearable any time of the day or occasion. In this post I am going to present the Laura Mercier Boheme Chic Eye Palette – an editorial-inspired eyeshadow palette, the new Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-long wear concealer, and the Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick.

Laura Mercier Boheme Chic Eye Palette – Editorial Eye Palette Intense Clays

The Boheme Chic Color Collection is inspired by the textures which is Laura's Parisian atelier, her painting studio. Laura Mercier Boheme Chic Eye Palette is an eclectic ambiance filled with acrylic paint, liquefied pearls, and earthy organic materials. Laura Mercier Boheme Chic Eye Palette is an editorial-inspired eyeshadow palette featuring six highly pigmented clay-textured eye colors in matte and sparkling finishes, along with a custom built-in powder to prolong wear. The shades are a mix of matte and metallic finishes. A really nice inclusion is the setting powder to prolong the wear time.

The formula of the eyeshadows is highly pigmented, buildable to full coverage. The high-performance hybrid texture has a unique ‘wet-feel' that is soft and flexible, making it easily blendable and layered. The air-light setting powder sets the color and controls oil breakthrough, for all-day wear without creasing.

I have been testing and using this palette for over a week and thoroughly impressed. The formula is just amazing, rich, and pigmented. It gives a beautifully soft and wet feel when applying. It blends very nicely without much effort and gives beautiful, almost full coverage, one more swipe and it is all full coverage. The selection of shades in this palette makes it even more versatile, it is perfect for work or even a party look. The shimmering and matte clays are very wearable, individually as well as for contrasting texture and shade combinations to take you from day to night look.

I have used an eyeshadow brush and even my fingers few times. The formula is just amazing, makes it super easy to apply, even for a beginner too. The matte shades do not show up much in my swatches as they match my skin tone on the arm perfectly. The matte shades blend in pretty well while the shimmering shades are noticeable. The white long-wearing setting powder is very sheer and does not shows up. But works on nicely to keep the eye makeup intact and long-wearing.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer is described as a weightless concealer with 12 hours of crease-resistant wear. It seamlessly blurs and conceals fine lines, imperfections, and discolorations. The concealer has medium to full coverage. The finish is natural and does not look cakey. The formula is very lightweight, undetectable after application. The Blurring Powder in it blends diffuses light to smooth the look of fine lines.

The formula has Skin Fusion Technology. In it, the long-wearing flexible polymers fuse to skin for wear that is transfer, sweat, humidity, and water-resistant. With all this technology in the formula, there are antioxidants and skin brightening Vitamin C. They combine with lightweight humectant Glycerin to balance skin moisture. In addition, it enhances a natural finish that looks flawless without creasing, settling, or looking dry and cakey.

The packaging is good with a doe-foot applicator wand, which makes the application easy. I dot the product with the doe-foot applicator under my eyes. Also over discolorations and imperfections, and onto any areas of darkness. Then gently press and blend with fingertips, using the warmth of the fingers to create a seamless finish.

The formula is buildable, so if more is needed, I apply more to that area. It can be used in combination with the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage which is another favorite concealer. I use it every day to conceal my dark spots which my hormonal congestion leaves. I am very impressed with the claims and the results. It does stay on well for the whole day. The finish is seamless, looks very natural, makes the under-eye area bright, and covers the darkness.

It does not settle into any problem areas. Also, it does not look dry or cakey as some concealers do get to tend dry and cakey after application. I use this with my Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation. It is such a great combination, keeps on getting better with the day. The shade 3N is for medium skin tones with a neutral undertone. I am on the side of yellow undertones and this one balances out the yellowness pretty well. Also, it brightens the eye area and dark areas.

Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick

Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick is an ultra-matte lipstick that delivers intense, single-stroke coverage and long-lasting, creamy comfort. Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick provides a powder-matte finish without drag or dryness. The formula is lightweight, creamy, and has a velvety texture. It has rich, intense color and the finish is matte. Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick provides full coverage and is long-wearing.

The formula glides on easily and effortlessly onto the lips, does not bleeds, feather or smudge. It feels comfortable on the lips without drying. My lips are usually very dry and most of the products make them drier, especially the matte lipsticks. I have been using these lipsticks since the time I started testing. It stays on pretty well for over 4-5 hours without making my lips dry or settling into the lines. I do make sure to exfoliate or even use a lip balm before appling my lipstick. The formula and shades do not make my lips look flat. It looks nice and soft, the velvety texture does work pretty nicely.
