The newest launch from Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris is all about freshness. It is called the Aqua Celestia Forte. I do enjoy and love the Aqua Celestia that launched last year. In 2011, Francis Kurkdjian dreamed up the forte version of Aqua Universalis. If you are not aware, Aqua Universalis is an iconic fragrance in his eponymous house. As a result, a new word was added to the language of perfumery. He also conferred unprecedented intensity to the Eau de Cologne’s spirit. That is a fresh, modern sillage, bursting with radiance and ensuring long-lasting hold. After Aqua Universalis and Aqua Vitae, Aqua Celestia was Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s third ultra-fresh eau de toilette created in 2017. It is now launched as an Eau de parfum version.

Aqua Celestia forte, a fragrance that is heavenly fresh. Gazing at the horizon in an ambiance of absolute serenity, you notice a dazzling space between the blue of the sky and the blue of the sea. It widens to allow a sparkling sun to burst forth, featuring accents of petitgrain and jasmine.

In the top notes, petitgrain bigarade from Italy, at once sweet and bitter, adds a sparkle to the fruity, sunny facets of Aqua Celestia brought by lime from Mexico and Mitcham mint. In middle notes, A delicate touch of jasmine absolute from Egypt enhances the blackcurrant bud absolute from Burgundy and mimosa absolute from Provence. And in the base notes, a musky accord crowns and envelopes this fragrant tableau. Aqua Celestia forte embodies the radiance of a fresh, citrusy fragrance.

To lend a deeper visual meaning to his creation, Francis Kurkdjian sought a special decor for the box and the bottle label. In a serene setting where body and mind are one, a sun is visible amid silver reflections.

For me, this is an absolutely beautiful scent. It is something that is going to be my go-to and is already a favorite for summer. To me, the mint note in the opening is very prominent. That means it exudes a refreshing and cooler feel right away. The mint citrusy mix in such a delightful way. On my skin is that it seems to last longer before transitioning to the next note which is floral. The floral is beautiful in a different way, not a common floral but a slight twist. It lasts one me for over a day, I mean I could smell this even in the night on my wrists when sniffed closely. This is a perfect scent for any time of the day. I am really into good floral musks and what could be better than a hint of citrus for the summer.
