Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte Review

Maison Francis Kurkdjian has launched Cologne Forte Fragrance Collection. The collection has three fragrances that are three variations of Aqua fragrances from the house. The collection influences travel towards a destination filled with light, colors, and freshness. Cologne is basically a family of fresh, citrus-based fragrances distilled using extracts from citrus, floral, and woody ingredients. The common ingredient in these three new fragrances of Maison's olfactory wardrobe is the bergamot. It levels up the freshness in the scent. Keep reading to know my thoughts on Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte.

The Cologne Forte collection illustrates the lightness and sensations one can feel at different moments of life that inspire emotions. Aqua Universalis, Aqua Celestia, and Aqua Celestia forte are my all-time favorite fragrances. And they have new variations in the newly launched collection. From the newest launches, I am currently enjoying the Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte. I have not tried the Aqua Vitae Edt, so I can not compare it with Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte is a floral citrus fragrance. The first look at the bottle gives a sunny and bright vibe. The yellow bottle looks really pretty, almost like a bottle of sunshine. As from the color of the bottle and the family of the bottle, the citrus notes are from mandarin.

And thus, the result is a luminous citrusy and sunny floral scent. Apart from the solar notes, the fragrance is enriched by sensual musks in the base notes including the Indian sandalwood. Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte definitely feels like sunshine. There is a warmth, freshness, and juiciness in the scent. It marks all ticks for a beautiful summer scent. Overall, the fragrance is a warm, sunny, fresh, solar scent with a clean vibe.

Aqua Vitae Cologne Forte is light and I am reaching for it quite a lot since the summer started. I like the longevity of this fragrance on me, the sillage is moderate. It is a unisex scent but a little inclined towards the feminine side due to the floral part but otherwise depends if that note comes up on your skin.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Body Oil, Hair Mist Review

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 – when I reviewed this fragrance in detail here, the three words, which of course do not fully explain this fragrance but are very close to what it is – Regal, Elegant, Luxurious. Baccarat Rouge 540 Hair Mist and body oil have launched recently. “Becoming alchemy of the senses and an audacious olfactory signature condensed to the extreme, the fragrance now graces the skin and hair in a flowery, ambery, woody whisper.”

Notes

This olfactory adaptation in two new formats remains true to Francis Kurkdjian’s original score. Jasmine, saffron, an ambergris accord, and a cedar and fir balsam accord unfold in a chorus to offer their finest attire.

Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Body Oil

Baccarat Rouge 540 scented oil is applied with a gentle caress of the hand to create a fragrant, satiny second skin. The oil has an irresistibly light texture due to the blend of three oils selected for their natural properties. Energizing and antioxidant argan oil, softening and regenerating sweet almond oil, and radiance-boosting apricot kernel oil.

The texture of the body oil is light, non-greasy, and absorbs into the skin rapidly leaving the skin satiny smooth, and delicately scented. The body oil comes out of the bottle through the pump in a very fine mist and is very easy to use. I like the scent of the body oil. I would say it is perfect for all seasons and the delicate scent lingers on the body for a few hours. After that, it starts to dissipate.

To get more out of it, I would suggest to layer it with the same fragrance. I did not notice any residue or greasiness and the oil absorbs really fast into the skin. I have used it on the full body and on the exposed parts of the body. It works well either way. When I use it on my heat points of the body along with the same fragrance over it, the result is that it lasts the whole day.

Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Hair Mist

Baccarat Rouge 540 scented hair mist perfumes the hair with its unique whisper and airy, mineral nuances. As it moves, the hair releases a sillage whose power of attraction is magnified. I have loved a good hair fragrance. For instance, when I do not find my favorite fragrance in the hair version, I find myself applying the fragrance either on my neck near the hair or on my wrists. Then I touch my hair sparingly with the wrists to have the fragrance transfer into the hair. It is not advisable to do because fragrance contains alcohol. Alcohol is not good for hair, it dries them out.

This hair-mist is alcohol-free. Therefore, it will not dry out the hair and is gentle on it. As a result, the scent lingers in the hair all day and is not strong but very gentle and delicate.

I am in love with these two scented products. They are great additions to the Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 range. Also, they have been my go-to in my everyday routine. In conclusion, I would totally recommend you to check Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Body Oil and Hair Mist.

Regal, Elegant, Luxurious… full stop. Even with these three words, I think I am not doing justification with the fragrance I am writing about in this post. I will try to explain it as much as I can what this fragrance is and what it has done to me. The collaboration between Baccarat and Maison Francis Kurkdjian came into existence for the first time in 2014 when Baccarat, the most prestigious crystal works in the world, celebrated the 250th anniversary of their founding in a limited number of bottles, 250 to be precise. And that started what is now an icon in itself, called Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum by Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris. The partnership was extended, which gave birth to Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum and this year, Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum.

Basically, Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de Parfum is called a new form of Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum, intensifying the power and radiance of the three breaths that compose Eau de Parfum keeping the original inspiration. To deepen the intensity to the Extrait, the bottle is designed and manufactured as such, for the first time, that it dons a dazzling red garment echoing the iconic Baccarat red.

The family and notes are described below:

Olfactory family: woody-amber-floral

Top Note: Jasmine Grandiflorum from Egypt and Saffron

Middle Note: Bitter Almond from Morrocco and Cedar Wood

Base Note: Woody Musk Accord and Ambergris

This fragrance for me opens up as a warm spicy saffron which is rich and thick. Then I smell floral with masculine notes. It is smooth, creamy, woody with a soft undertone of bitter almond coming up. The ambergris in the base note provides a light breeze of mineral aquatic air to the fragrance. The projection is great, and the lasting power is incredible, it lasts for almost 18+ hours on me until I slept and then in the morning, I could still smell it when I had my wrist close to my nose. It is gender neutral fragrance and depends on how it works with the chemistry of your skin. I do smell the masculine notes but not very strong and is as per my liking. Every time I wear this fragrance, it shines on my skin, like literally, I could see the essential oils or the Extrait shining on the area where I sprayed it. This is perfect for all the occasions, where you want to feel the best, it does make you feel an amazing luxurious sophisticated regality. I do not go beyond two sprays and I am sorted for all day and even next day, it just makes the aura around you so beautiful and glorious.

All in all, this is a brilliant fragrance and will be on my Top 5 list of favorite fragrances. I would highly recommend you to try this out on the below-mentioned stores or sample through the official website of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris which I will link below.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian has launched a new line of scented products for hair and body. The new launches include À la rose, Amyris femme and Aqua Universalis scents in their body and hair care versions. I am currently loving the Amyris femme scented body oil and À la rose-scented hair mist. The body oils and hair mists are packaged in heavy glass bottles with pumps. Both the body oil and hair mist have a fine spray pump to dispense the product.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian Amyris femme scented body oil

The scented body oil covers the skin with an exquisite, sensual veil. The texture of the body oil is light. Above all, it is non-greasy. It absorbs into the skin rapidly leaving the skin satiny smooth and delicately scented. The oil blends three oils that are selected based on their natural properties which are Argan Oil, Sweet Amond Oil, and Apricot Kernel Oil. For instance, Argan Oil has revitalizing and antioxidant properties. Sweet Almond Oil has softened and regenerates abilities. Lastly, Apricot Kernal Oil contributes to radiance-boosting.

Notes

The notes of this scented body oil are Lemon tree flower, Californian Orange, Jamaican Amyris, Florentine Iris, Haitian Vetiver, and Musky Amber.

My Thoughts

The body oil comes out of the bottle through the pump in a very fine mist. I like the scent of the body oil. I would say it is perfect for all seasons. In addition, the delicate scent lingers on the body for few hours before it dissipates. To make it last longer on the skin, layering it with the same fragrance really helps. Apart from how nourishing it is, I did not notice any residue or greasiness. The oil absorbs really fast into the skin. For instance, I have used it on the full body and on the exposed parts of the body, and works well either way.

Amyris femme Extrait de parfum is another favorite that I am currently enjoying.

Maison Francis Kurkdjian À la rose-scented hair mist

The hair mist is light in texture and absolutely feminine mist that scents hair in a delicate and refined beauty ritual. It is alcohol-free and is very gentle to hair. The sillage is luminous and floral. A feeling of freshness that carries in its sillage bergamot from Calabria combined with violet and magnolia blossoms, subtly warmed by a whisper of cedarwood and musk.'

Notes

The notes of this hair mist are Centifolia rose from Grasse, Damascena rose from Bulgaria, Bergamot from Calabria, Orange from California, Violet, Magnolia Blossom, Cedar Wood, and Musk.

My Thoughts

I frequently apply my favourite fragrance on my hair mostly indirectly and sometimes directly. I know it is not good for hair because it contains alcohol. Alcohol dries out the hair and makes them rough. This hair-mist is alcohol-free. Therefore, it does not dry out the hair and is gentle on it. Apart from that, the scent lingers in the hair for few hours before I feel the need to reapply it. In addition, the scent is not strong. The scent is very gentle and delicate.

In conclusion, I am really enjoying Amyris femme scented body oil and À la rose-scented hair mist. They are my go-to currently.
