Satin finish: The original lipstick range offers a satin finish. This means it is not entirely matte nor offers a “shine” to the lip. Satin textures often give off a tiny light reflection and look very natural.

The Mauves: These shades are great for a defined but not over-the-top lip:

• N.11: Triumphant tawny – Almost the natural lip colour.

Cle de Peau Beaute Lipstick Matte

Matte: A matte finish is a no glow, no shine, no gloss finish. It is a great way to keep a low profile look or balance out your whole makeup.

These silky matte shades are a must-have for the winter season. Forever trendy, the matte finish gives your makeup a touch of elegance. The lightweight texture of this range allows you to wear the lipsticks for up to 8h. With a creamy texture, the lipsticks offer long-lasting colour and are Comfortable to wear. This means that your lips stay moisturised and do not dry out during the day.

Cle de Peau Beaute Lipstick Shimmer

Shimmer: This finish is generally created by adding metallic or pearled powder to lipstick. It is a cute and soft way of adding volume to your lips. Extremely comfortable shimmer finishes are excellent with full makeup or natural skin.

Our favourite shade is n. 313 Powerhouse pink: Although this hot pink shade may intimidate you at first, once applied, its densely pigmented formula glides over the lip, forming a slightly translucent layer. This range should leave your lips looking plump and hydrated. This lipstick is perfect for everyday makeup or adding a little volume to your lips. Easy to pair with most colours, n.313 has its place in your makeup bag.

Also, you can wear shimmer lipsticks alone or as a topcoat in a satin or matte shade.

Cle de Peau Beaute Lipstick Shine

Shine: Shiny lipstick gives the lips a humid look. Extremely reflective, the finish adds volume to the lips and smooths out any lines. Generally, lower coverage and can transfer a little more. Shiny finishes differ from shimmering finishes as they don't always have glitter, pearl powders or metallic powders.

Yet another ongoing trend! The juicy, full-lip look was in all this summer. Shiny finishes are for you if you are beginning your lipstick journey or want easy-to-apply. Extremely comfortable and easy to apply, this range of lipsticks can be used for all looks. Moreover, these glossy lipsticks offer a low to medium coverage that can be built up by applying them in layers. Wear them with matte or satin lipstick for a highly pigmented shiny lip.

Also, one of my new favourite shades is N.215: Impulsive – Barbie pink. This tint is for the girly girls who can't get enough of that popping pink lip. In addition, it looks fantastic with softer eye makeup and can be worn by all ages.

The Packaging

The four ranges of lipsticks are all cased in a high-quality deep blue case. The lipsticks should be kept in a cool place away from direct sunlight.

The Powermatte Lipstick

Nars is back at it and brings out another show stopper. This comfortable creamy texture is jam-packed and full of pure pigments. Do you know what that means? You can get full coverage and intense, bold colours in one swipe. The lipstick transforms from a cream to a matte finish without drying the lips. Available in 15 shades, the power matte offers 10-hour wear. The 15 shades look amazing on all skin variations. Ranging from pinks and beige to red tints. Let's take a closer look inside.

The new formula Used by Nars offers all the correct elements: comfort, intensity and long-lasting results. To do so, Nars enriched their lipsticks with the Power pigment complex.

A blend of pigments combines rich emollient oils and a colour-locking ingredient. When applied, the lip reveals a dense colour that effortlessly glides on.

My Review

On my out-and-about trips, I stumbled across the brand new range from Nars. With the new season beginning, It was time to treat myself. Let's start by saying, what a gem! The lipsticks themselves are beautifully designed. I tried on three different shades and decided to go with “Too hot to hold”. The reason I bought this lipstick is that the application was so easy. With a thinner stick, I could cover my whole lip in a single swipe and create neat contours. Powermatte offers full coverage that quickly mattifies on the lip. With a zero-weight texture, I was comfortable throughout the day. The lipsticks also have a high resistance to transfers which is great for those on the go.

I would 100% recommend these lipsticks for those who want a matte finish that doesn't dry your lips or feel like a paste. You can also apply less or more depending on the desired look. I sometimes forgot I even had it on.

Another new launch I am currently enjoying from the brand is Laguna Bronzing Cream. It is so easy to apply and looks very natural.

The Arch Realist Brow Defining Pencil

Eyebrows are a game-changer in makeup, which is why I never compromise on the quality of an eyebrow pencil. The dark shade of the arch realist brow-defining pencil is my go-to choice. The pigmentation is amazing, and the goodness of ingredients like shea butter, vitamin E, and Jojoba oil gives a soft texture to the brows. The brush quality is also great, making blending and colour distribution easier. I have black hair, so the dark shade gives a natural look and it lasts all day long.

The Bronze Summer Glow Powder

I have a wheatish complexion and my features are rather soft than sharp. Using bronze with my makeup helps me achieve an accentuated look. The Positano shade of Summed glow powder by Code8 has been by far the best bronze powder I have used. The shimmer is subtle that glows with the light. It blends easily and stays on the whole day. The shade compliments my skin well. It gives a naturally sculpted look to my face. I have been using it for quite a long and will continue to do so.

The Colour Brilliance Sculpting Lipstick

Nude lipsticks are a lifesaver when you want to get a no-make-up look. The “The Met” shade of the colour brilliance Sculpting Lipstick by Code8 is the perfect nude pink shade. The texture of the lipstick is smooth and rich, making the lips look nourished. The packaging is beautiful, and the formula does not cause dryness on the lips after removal. The rich colour transfers to my lips with just one glide. I usually pair it with nude make-up and mascara, which is a great casual chic look.

The Glaze Universal Lip Gloss

A glossy makeup look has always been my favourite and is incomplete without lip gloss. But lip glosses can be messy if not of good quality; they tend to be sticky and feel heavy on lips. I always use the Spyglass shade by Code8 Beauty lip gloss as it's so convenient and beautiful. It's a peachy shade that goes perfectly for daily wear, and the texture is not sticky. It makes my lips look smoother and plumper without causing any irritation. Its formula is hydrating and consists of collagen boosters which help in keeping lips soft.
