Nars recently released their Afterglow collection, and I love the whole vibe. Therefore, I had to try the Sensual Shine lipsticks – rich in luminous shades and creamy textures.

The Afterglow Sensual Shine Lipstick

Yet another range of lip products has been added to the Afterglow range, and here is all you need to know about hybrid lipsticks.

This range is a combination of makeup and skincare actives. These lightweight lipsticks glide on like a dream, offering a massive 8-hour hydrating action to the lips. If you are a fan of subtle makeup, then this range's buildable coverage and beautiful sheen will surely leave you smiling. Also, the formula is enriched with highly nourishing benefits and antioxidants, bringing comfort and flexibility to lipsticks.

The soft texture is non-sticky and smooths fine lines for a fuller-looking lip. Moreover, the afterglow sensual lipsticks exist in ten shades ranging from light pink to deep purple.

What's Inside?

• Mango and Shea Butter: This duo helps retain moisture and nourish the lips throughout the day. Ideal for dry lips.
• Monoi hydrating complex: Adding a velvety finish to your lipstick adds long-lasting comfort.

What is The Difference Between The Afterglow “Shine Products”?

If you are wondering what is different about this lipstick than the other two shiny lip products in the Afterglow range, let me tell you about it.

Although they all deliver a shine to the lip, the sensual lipsticks have a more dimensional shine. Thus, adding volume to the lips.

Similar in sensation, the lipstick allows a more precise application and can be built up to obtain a sheer-to-medium coverage.

My Review

The sensual lipstick range caught my eye in the store, and so I purchased three different shades:

• Shades 209 On Edge: A warm pink
• 225 Show Off: A deep mahogany
• 217 Truth or Dare: A luminous coral

I love creamy lipsticks and often opt for a soft no-makeup makeup look. These lipsticks are perfect for a smooth shine to the lip and a gentle pop of colour. Also, it was the packaging that got my attention, as it has a sleek design to it.

Nars most natural blush yet!

I have found the most stunning blush to exist yet. Nars has released its NEW range of Afterglow blushers, giving off the perfect, natural rosy tint.

The Afterglow Liquid Blush

Are you looking for a high-pigment without the heavy powdered sensation? Then look no further. The afterglow blush has a light texture that delivers up to 8 hours of hydration. With a wide choice of luminous colours, The NEW Nars blush is enriched with skincare ingredients. I have long dreamed about finding a no budge blusher that will last me throughout my day, so when I discovered the liquid blusher is a no-transfer, I was delighted. The creamy formula is long-lasting and contains a trio of sodium hyaluronate, vitamin E, and vegan collagen to perfect the appearance of the skin.

The Applicator

If you have used liquid blush before, you know how vital a good applicator is. The Nars Afterglow has a cushioned tip applicator, allowing you to pick up a good quantity of product in just one dip. Easy to use, the applicator is essential to keeping a clean and hygienic product. This applicator gives you an accurate application each time.

The Shades

The afterglow blush comes in six shades ranging from peachy pink to deep plum. Ideal for all carnations, the shades are highly pigmented and blend out effortlessly. You can build the layers up for high coverage, and why not try them on the eyelids?

All-Day Hydration

As mentioned, Nars enriched their blush with profoundly hydrating skincare ingredients. This is an excellent addition as it prevents your skin from absorbing the product throughout the day.

• SODIUM HYALURONATE: Restore moisture to the skin's barrier for up to 8 hours of hydration.
• VITAMIN E: A powerful antioxidant. It protects the skin from external aggression.
• VEGAN COLLAGEN: Boosts skin firmness for plumper, smooth finish.

Shades

My favourite shades are:

• The coral pink: Brazen

This is my summer shade. The coral colour is vibrant without being too much. The orange undertones look great with blue eyes or a blue liner on the eyes.

• The dusty pink: Dolce Vita

A softer pink shade that is perfect for all styles of makeup. The powdered pink colour melts onto the cheeks for a natural pink tone.

• The deep plum: Insatiable

I love to use this deeper shade of an evening for a rich and structured look. The plum shade is highly-pigmented, and a small amount goes a long way.

My Review

As a big fan of liquid blush, I had high expectations for the NEW afterglow range from Nars. The liquid blusher looks beautiful on the skin alone or over makeup. The creamy texture is easy to work with and doesn't dry out quickly. The Afterglow liquid blush is Nar's most natural finish yet. Its light finish offers a luminous glow to the cheeks without it being shimmering. I previously used the Orgasm Four Play Blush Quad (review here), which is also great but offers a more pushed, shimmer finish. Another go-to is the new Laguna Bronzer. (review here)

The Bronzing Essentials Of Your Summer Glow

One of the things I adore most about those golden summer days is my sunkissed glow. To achieve this year-round, I use the Nars bronzer powder. The brand recently released its new Nars Laguna collection, which gives off ” bronze goddess” vibes.

Bronzed Glow In The Swipe Of A Brush: The Laguna Bronzer

It is the perfect time for me to give this bronzer a go, as my previous one has seen better. The Laguna bronzers are available in nine beautiful shades, giving all skin tones a warmer, luminous look. In this collection, the finely milled bronzer is talc-free and flawlessly natural. The durable powder leaves a soft, smooth layer on the skin's surface. Using high-quality pigments and translucent micro-spheres, this powder adds a warm tint to your makeup and improves skin texture. And as if that wasn't enough, Nars also released mini versions to take with you.

My favourite shades are 02 and 03, which are easy to work with. These shades are perfect to use all over the face and can be built up as a contour.

The Quad Eyeshadow Laguna

I adored using this palette of eyeshadows. Nars will Light up lids this summer with multi-finish shades (Matte, shimmer, and glitter). Nars created rich, high-impacting eyeshadows using pure pigments and an innovative liquid binding system. Bronzed neutral tones inspire the palette. You will find the following colours: Sparkling nude, Frosted ginger, Soft brown, and copper. The eyeshadows are perfect for all levels of makeup lovers. They blend effortlessly onto the skin and can be used as an eyeshadow or eyeliner.

The Afterglow Lipbalm Laguna

A summer glow is nothing without a juicy lip, and Nars just released the perfect collection of deeply hydrating tinted lip balms. Adding a natural shine to your lips, the balms are available in 9 shades. Enriched with a Monoï Hydrating Complex: Coconut Oil, Gardenia Tahitensis Flower Extract, and Squalene, the tinted balms provide daily moisture. I recommend these lip balms to all those that love comfortable makeup. The balms smooth fine lines on the lips and keep your smile nice and supple.

My Experience

I knew I had to get the collection as soon as it was released. Like the summer days, this collection brings back the beauty of the “golden hour”. It perfects you, awakens your eyes and plumps your lips for a light look. I enjoyed playing with the palette shades, as they made my blue eyes pop.

The bronzing powder is similar to the previous ones, but with the talc-free formula, they are even cleaner. My skin looks and feels great when wearing it, and even light skin tones can find their happiness.

I would love to try more shades in the lip balms as they are so comfy to wear. I tried applying them over my lipstick, and it also worked great. The only recommendation is to use your fingers so the applicator isn't stained.
