My Review

I have a sensitive type and acne-prone skin so it has always been a struggle to find good quality make-up products. I have been using Nars Light Reflecting Foundation for about two weeks now and I have never been happier with the results. It makes my skin look extremely smooth and radiant. It does not wear off easily and stays throughout the day. Since it has good coverage and blends easily, I just have to use a small amount and it does the work perfectly.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

One of the best things about trying new products and writing about them is that you naturally start looking at a product with a few of your top expectations. Base makeup is the most important step to get a perfect finish at the end. Nobody likes a foundation that looks cakey and emphasizes the problem areas on the face. When you yourself are not feeling comfortable about yourself – no one else can. I have been using the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation for the last few days.

My Thoughts

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is a sheer, buildable foundation with a natural-looking finish. The foundation is very lightweight and glides nicely onto the skin. It blends easily and is buildable from sheer to medium coverage. The finish looks very natural and radiant without looking or feeling heavy or cakey. It did not emphasize my dry areas of the phase neither it made my oily areas oilier. The longevity is good, stayed on well for over 8 hours for which I tested. I did not do any touch-ups during the days I tested it.

It did not emphasize the pores or my problem areas and acne. The good thing is that is available in a wide range – 40 shades for all skin types. Another thing I have noticed is that it works great when my skin is behaving well. Also, when I do not have many dark spots or problem areas to conceal. This would also be not a concern as a concealer can be used specifically for the problem areas. Overall, a very nice everyday foundation.

My expectation in regards to the finish of the foundation is always radiant and dewy. I was curious to try and see how the longevity, performance, and finish of it looks on me.

Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation vs Nars Sheer Glow Foundation

Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation has been on my top list for over a year and I still love it. Between Nars Sheer Glow and Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, the latter provides more coverage. Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation also looks more radiant. The longevity of both is amazing. Although Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation is not as lightweight as the Nars sheer glow foundation.

I have swatches both the foundations that match my medium skin tone with golden undertones. Sheer Glow is a little less warm than Radiant Longwear.

I also love using this sheer foundation with the Radiant Creamy Concealer and Tinted Glow Booster as a highlighter or for extra glow.

Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation Review

Nars Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands for everyday makeup. In a foundation, what I look for is how it blends into my skin. Also, if it oxidizes or not, does it makes my imperfections more prominent. And, if the color matches my skin tone. Last but not the least, I love a dewy finish, not oily but radiant healthy glow. I am using Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation for the last few weeks and sharing my thoughts in this post.

Nars Cosmetics describes the Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation as its first 16-hour fade-resistant foundation with full-powered radiance. It is medium to full coverage stays vibrant and fresh during the day. The foundation is formulated to improve skin while helping support skin's elastic fibers to smooth and improve skin texture. The specialized pigments recognize and fuse with the skin for the closest match. It is available in 33 skin-matching shades, ranging from deep espresso to the fairest tones.

Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation, which is easily buildable. The formula is opaque and a little, pearl size is all that is needed for full coverage. I use a primer to smooth out the base and then apply this foundation with my brush or beauty blender. It blends very easily into the skin, giving a very natural, radiant, and luminous finish.

My Thoughts

I am really impressed with the staying power of this foundation. It stays on very well for 12 hours or more. It is not transfer-proof if I am not setting it with a powder or setting spray. Even after using a setting powder or spray, there is a little bit of transfer. But that is normal with other foundations I have tried. I did not notice any oxidation during the day. And the pictures from the camera and flash looked very natural with this one.

It also covers my spots and pigmentation, which is why I did not feel the need to use a concealer. The packaging of the foundation is in a heavy glass bottle with a pump, which looks very classic and chic. My skin tone is medium tan with golden undertones and I was matched Syracuse and Barcelona.

Syracuse – Medium – Dark with brown undertones
Barcelona – Medium with golden, peachy undertones

Top – Syracuse, Bottom – Barcelona

Overall, I am really loving the natural, radiant, and glowy finish which is what I prefer and like. A little is all I need to use for my full face. I do not feel the need of using a concealer. I usually do not follow with a loose powder to set as I prefer a radiant finish on my face. At the end of the day, it is a little dewier around my forehead and nose area. Therefore, I retouch with a pressed powder on the go. I have combination skin for our reference and it did not irritate or had my skin break out. Another good thing is the shade range with different undertones to suit a wide range of skin colors. So, all in all, a product worth checking out.

I am also enjoying the Nars High Pigment Longwear Eyeliner. I love the formula and the range of shades.
