I know its been ages since i wrote my last post, everything is okay, i have been busy with two kids and stuff. Life is running too fast. Its been 7 months since my delivery of Baby no 2, a Boy. My girl is almost 4 years. Both are keeping my hands full.

I have been regular on instagram since last few weeks and with that, i am planning to be regular on my blog posts. In the past year, i have been regular with trying new stuff for my skin, hair and makeup. My skin was a total wreck after my delivery, which was totally unexpected and really scary for me. I expected my skin to be better after delivery but it was total opposite, my skin was in the condition it had never been. I had terrible hormonal acne which really effected my confidence. And when the acne came under control, it was the turn of my hair. I will share all the things that i tried and which one's worked for me. Also, i had my trip to India for my Brother's wedding last year, lots of fun and shopping.

I would really like to hear your experiences of postpartum acne and hair fall and what worked for you.

Thank God for helping me recover from the sickness. I was sick for last 5 days, never been this bad. I had cold, sore throat before but this was the worst. I am still not sure if it was flu or what as it was not something i had before. And due to the deadline at office, i was working from home, sneezing and working.

In India, it was always nice to have someone beside you when you are sick or for any reason, but since the time i came here, i knew i have to be self-dependent, this country is for the independent people. But still i miss my Mom's care and love, her making food for me, asking me things all the time, checking on my sickness, not letting me out of the bed. Now that i am not a teenager, nor i am single, i am married with the amazing husband and have an amazing little daughter, baby no. 2 on the way, i should be less expecting and more giving.

As i am pregnant, i couldn't take any medicine or over-the counter stuff except Regular Tylenol. Google'd for some medicines that i could take and got few on the list, just to be safe i called my family physician's office. Doctor told me to get plenty of rest, drink a lot of fluids, water with salt gargles and steam. If there is fever or aches, then go for regular Tylenol. And if nothing gets better after 3-4 days, then to check with her back. So i had no option, but to be on bed and rest and rest…

What i did : Took Tylenol twice in 4 days, hot water steam daily, used my daughters salinex nose drops and her Tylenol syrup for cold and sore throat for kids twice, gargled with salt and warm water many times, warm water with honey soothed my throat, lots of water and rest…

Feeling really better today and want to do all the stuff i couldn't in the last few days… starting from laundry to cleaning and cooking 🙂

I was pretty new to Clinique products before getting pregnant, I tried a few samples and I loved them. My skin has always been a problem skin, sometimes pimples, and then their spots. So after trying the samples, I went to the store to buy the products and looked at the prices, the bigger sizes were the better ones. I bought Clinique even better lotion SPF 20 and Clinique even better clinical dark spot corrector.

I stopped using all the products when I came to know of my pregnancy, but after doing a lot of research on my own, then emailed the clinique people, and then finally asked my family physician. She said it's fine to use them as they have controlled quantities of chemicals that are far from harming the baby.

Buy at Sephora

After a break of around a month, I finally started using the products again. The products are gentle enough and have not caused any dryness or irritation to my skin. I have noticed my dark spot has faded while using the products together. I make sure to use sun protection during the day in case I am just using the serum. For my evening skincare routine, I make sure to use the dark spot corrector and then follow with my night moisturizer.

Overall, I am happy to keep these two in my routine. I feel my eye area is a little drier than before since I got pregnant. So I am looking for an eye cream that is not too heavy and is gentle for my sensitive eye area.

I know it is really important to moisturize your body and that too during pregnancy, it becomes a must to-do. Due to the hormonal changes as well as due to the growing body, the skin becomes dry and fragile. To cope up with the changes, i know it is difficult but whatever we can do, we should do in order to avoid stretch marks and uneasiness. And the first step is to keep the skin moisturized as much as you can. Dryness can be anywhere on the body, its variance is different on different people. I had dry skin before getting pregnant and i know its going to be more dryness on my skin in the coming weeks. That makes me more eager to find and start using the pregnancy safe moisturizer as soon as i can.

So I did some research and thought of trying the shortlisted products that are safe to use during pregnancy. I mainly searched for products that are free of Retinoids, Salicylic acid, Soy. I will be using and reviewing each product for moisturizing the skin, particularly the body in the next few days.
