The Vetyver Fragrance

The perfume mentions the presence of Vetyver in its name, but unlike the usual masculine and earthy note, this one is balanced perfectly to achieve an energy-boosting scent. The perfume has a bright and cozy character thanks to its warm and exotic notes blend. Incredibly unique, the scent holds a rare grass native to Haiti and Indonesia.

The Notes

The unisex Vetyver fragrance uses notes rarely found in the perfume industry.

TOP NOTE: The perfume opens with a fresh and vibrant blend of Citron, Nutmeg, Juniper, and Cypress. Joyful and pure, this combination is like a ray of sun on a warm summer day. The bled of nutmeg, citron, and Juniper give the perfume an exotic touch.

MID NOTE: Following on a more floral and elegant note is a trio of Muguet, Cedarwood, and Iris. Perfectly balanced to achieve a clean and classy note, the heart elevates the perfume from the fresh scents.

-DRY DOWN: Last of all, the star ingredient, Vetyver, plays the grounding touch role. Combined with a trio of Vanilla, Musk, and Sandalwood, the perfume gains a very comforting and skin-tight base.

My Review

After recently discovering the Kalimantan scent from Chantecaille (review here), I was curious to find more of their perfumes. I love each fragrance's uniqueness and how it takes you on a brand-new adventure. The Vetyver scent is not at all what I expected. Its first impression gives a clean and elegant vibe. I enjoyed wearing this scent and got many compliments from my colleagues. This perfume releases itself in bursts throughout the day. The floral and green notes rise again when you think it has gone. Vetyver perfume is ideal for those who want a more intimate perfume. It lasts long but doesn't leave an overwhelming sillage behind you. I would recommend this perfume for classy events or even weddings!
