Givenchy Le Rouge Matte lipstick
Givenchy Le Rouge Matte lipstick (CAD $44) is a velvety formula that delivers vibrant, intense color in an ultra-matte finish. This product is packaged in a genuine black leather case, the exclusive signature of Maison Givenchy. The formula is very comfortable to wear, despite being matte, it does not accentuate even the dry lips. The formula is rich in pigment and a velvety semi-matte finish, it is combined with nourishing ingredients to keep the lips moisturized. One swipe of the color is enough to give a nice amount of color to the lips.
I have used the three shades that are reviewed and swatched in this post for a few times already and they all suit my medium tan skin tone. The shades would make a perfect addition to spring and all season round. The staying power is nice, for around 5 hours without touch up which is quite good.
216 Rose Graphique – rich, bright-pink
329 Rouge Stiletto – a classic red, flattering on all skin tones.
331 Pourpre Defile – electric purple
The formula glides on easily on the lips and contours without tugging. There are 6 shades available in Le Rouge Mat which are all wearable and would suit most of the skin tones.
Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl
Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl ( CAD $37) is described as a gloss with medium coverage for high-shine, naturally-voluminous-looking lips. The formula contains black rose oil which helps lips remain soft and supple with an absolute feeling of comfort. The foam end of this innovative applicator is stamped with a G to take up more product for a pleasant, even spread of color over the lips. G for Givenchy, G for Glossy, G for Glamour—Gloss Interdit Vinyl signs a new way of applying lip gloss. At once simple and precise, it sheathes the lips in dazzling color with a single stroke, making it a must-have for beauty addicts everywhere.
Shades 01 and 16 which I have swatched in this editorial are made-to-measure color boosters that react to skin’s pH for a result that is totally different from one woman to another. These can be applied as a top coat over any lipstick to intensify its color. 01 Rose Révélateur enhances the natural lip color. 16 Noir Révélateur is an audacious shade that enhances the natural tone of lips with an enigmatic depth. The formula is nice, does not gives the sticky feeling although it is thick, does not irritate my lips, the staying power is good.
I am a fan of Givenchy products and their formula, I reviewed 18 shades of the Le Rouge here if you are interested to read and see the swatches. Givenchy Gloss Interdit Vinyl and Givenchy Le Rouge Matte lipstick is available to be purchased at Sephora.
