Givenchy has some amazing formulas when it comes to lip products, I have been a long time fan of their lipsticks and review them in the past here, here and here. The newly launched Givenchy Rose Révélateur Rouge Interdit Satin Lipstick is a combination of Rouge Interdit Vinyl Noir Révélateur No. 16 (reviewed here) and Rouge Interdit No.22, Rouge Interdit No. 27.
Givenchy Rouge Interdit Marble Rouge Lipstick 25 Rouge Revelateur is described as an intriguing marbled lipstick where a deep red and an edgy black melt together for long-lasting wear, vibrant, and satin color. It is concentrated within an intriguing, marbled lipstick, the shade Rouge Révélateur combines the powerful red Rouge Interdit N°13 with the mysterious Noir Révélateur, the brand’s signature edgy color. Black gives depth to the color and enhances its every facet, while a magic pigment reacts with the lips’ pH and adapts to all skin tones. This unique color offers a dark, customized shade of red. Apply first to the heart of the lips and then on the edges. For a more intense finish, build the coverage with an additional coat.

Concentrated within an intriguing marbled lipstick, the shade Rose Révélateur combines the powerful pink Rouge Interdit N°22 with the mysterious Noir Révélateur, the brand’s signature edgy color. Black gives depth to the color and enhances its every facet, while a magic pigment reacts with the lips’ pH and adapts to all skin tones. I will start with the packaging, looking at the lipstick alone makes you appreciate the art and creation of it. The outer packaging is a signature Givenchy packaging, the only difference is the red and pink color edge on the fabric of the cap matching the lip color inside. It looks so bright and classic shade matching with overall black packaging on the cover. Now the formula, I would say Givenchy has one of the best formulas and this is no exception.
It is very moisturizing and it never dries my lips. I always have one of my Givenchy lipsticks in my bag because I know when my lips are peeling or feel dry, and I need some color which will not emphasize the dryness, this will work for me. I have been using this lipstick for last few days and this works as I expected, amazing formulas.
Now, coming to the finish, the lipstick has a satin finish which looks beautiful. It makes the lips look youthful, very subtle shine, which is almost natural plus the color. The shades of these new launches, I have been having a hard time choosing which one I like most. Unless many other pinks and reds, these will suit most of the skin tones. The pink is a perfect pink, the undertones are kind of balanced to make it a nice pink for everyone.
The red shade is great for every day as well as occasional use, the shade is really beautiful. I have been using one-two swipes of these lipsticks for a wash of color to the lips and it builds it up with more swipes to get intensity. The staying power of the lipstick is nice, for the subtle wash of color, it stays on well for over two to three hours but for the intense look, it stays even more until I feel the need to reapply after three to four hours.
