The founders worked together for 20 years before they got in contact with famous names in the perfume industry. They then put their minds together to bottle the most exquisite ingredients in the form of perfumes.
Ostens Cashmeran Velvet: Fragrance Overview
One of the beautiful fragrances of the Ostens collection is Cashmeran Velvet. The impression has a calming amalgamation of cashmere velvet, cedarwood and sandalwood. Despite having such strong components, the fragrance is pretty subtle and gives a sense of pleasure and comfort.
Like all the impressions by Ostens, Ostens Cashmeran Velvet Perfume also has a prime ingredient and some small hints to enhance the fragrance. In this case, Madagascan vanilla is used to add sweetness to the smoky smell of the perfume.
Keynotes
Notes describe the scents that can be sensed after applying the perfume. There are three types of notes and together they are known as the fragrance pyramid.
- Top notes
- Middle/heart notes
- Base notes
Top notes can be sensed immediately after applying and stays up to 15-20 minutes
The middle and base notes appear when the top note evaporates. One cannot smell the perfume after a while due to olfactory adaptation.
Heart notes are the most important notes in perfume and usually have the most dominant smell.
In Cashmere Velvet the notes are as follows:
- Top notes: Amyris oil, Cashmeran Velvet, Olibanum Oil
- Heart notes: Cedarwood oil, Sandalwood oil, Orris Accord
- Base notes Vanilla Bean Extract CO2 LMR, Patchouli Heart LMR, Musks.
What I liked
Since the heart notes in this perfume consist of really strong smells of sandal and cedar, I had expected it to have an intense fragrance but it was rather delicate. Here is what I liked about the impression

Ostens Cashmeran Velvet Perfume is a mix of warm and woody smells. I get a number of compliments whenever I wear it. Also, it is really affordable and gives off the vibe like any luxurious perfume.
Despite having a smoky scent the fragrance is extremely warm and subtle. For people who love the smell of sandalwood, this scent is perfect and has a velvety texture. I apply little drops on the wrist and neck and then spray the perfume on it, it makes the fragrance last longer. The lingering smell of vanilla makes it suitable for use at any time.
