The Fragrance

Oriana perfume is a fruity, floral fragrance with a sweet touch. Inspired by some of the brand's favourite sweet treats, it is a long-lasting fragrance that is vibrant and unique.

The fragrance is built around different sweet notes, for example, the sweetness of a mille-feuille (french pasty) and the softness of sparkling water. This perfume is perfectly balanced and easy to wear on all occasions.

The Notes

Scents are more linked to memories and sensations than we think. The Oriana fragrance takes you on a sensory adventure as notes develop one after the other. The variation of textures inspired Parfums de Marly to make this perfume. The brand wanted its users to relive a sweet childhood memory.

• Top Notes: The fragrance opens up with fruity and fresh Mandarin, Bergamot, and Grapefruit notes. The perfume gives a new first impression with a burst of citrus juiciness.
• Heart Notes: The fragrance then follows with a much richer heart. Combining Orange blossom, Blackcurrant, and Raspberry, the fragrance gains a more candied scent. These sweeter notes stay for a long time on the skin and bring a rounder finish to the perfume.
• Base Notes. Last but not least, the perfume becomes warmer and more sensual. Marshmallow, Ambrette, Chantilly cream, and Musk. Who doesn't love a good dose of vanilla-like notes in their fragrance? These notes stay with you throughout the day, forming a second skin.

The Bottle

Elegance at its simplest. Just like the fragrance itself, the bottle has a vibrant pink colour. Like most Parfum De Marly fragrances, the bottle has a detailed design and top. The bottle's design can be found throughout the different scents, and the famous tassel chord adds a touch of luxury.

My Review

I love sweet perfumes, so Oriana sounded right up my street. The fragrance was a lot more elegant than I had expected. One thing I love about this scent is that it doesn't have a young feeling. The perfume lasted all day and got me many compliments from my work colleagues and friends.

The fruity notes keep the perfume from becoming “sickly”, and the citrus notes bring harmony. This scent is ideal for those who like to leave a sillage behind them. If you enter a room, Oriana will set all eyes on you. The brand chose a fun design, changing from its more classical one. I do find the final notes addictive.
