Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Illuminating Powder Gelée in Heat Wave is a limited edition product and is part of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2018 Collection. The packaging of the Illuminating powder aka the highlighter is very beautiful, rose with pops of aqua. The product has a beautiful embossing and pan design. The highlighter is bright, medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. Estee Lauder powder gel formulations are one of the best and even this one is amazing. The formula is created using a unique Prisma technology which gives such a gorgeous glow. It is a tri-brid of liquid, powder, and gel. The finish is smooth and beautiful, delivering a soft sheen that illuminates the complexion.
If you are a fan of sparkle and shimmer, (who is not? Especially in the summer) this is a really nice option to try. And as this is a limited edition product, you need to check this out before it gets sold out. I can totally pull it off on the beach days or vacation. The formula on this highlighter is smooth to touch, finely milled, and very pigmented. In my opinion, this highlighter is not for daily use or something you can use every day if you are working in a conservative or office environment. If you’re looking for an everyday glow, this is not for you. Heat Wave has a very high shine frosty finish that’s very noticeable on the skin, so if you love intense highlighters, Heat Wave is just right for you. Some highlighters have a tendency to increase the visibility of pores and texture on the skin, I didn’t notice anything like that on my combination skin. It did not emphasize my problem areas.
For me, this will be a perfect addition to the highlighters when I need that extra oomph or hint of summer glow for a vacation or night out. It is buildable up to a true metallic highlight. For an even more intense glow, I wet my brush with a setting spray before applying the product. I think that Heat Wave would be best suited for most of the skin tones. For very light skin tones, it will be more of a bronzer and for light-medium to dark skin tones, it will be perfect as an illuminator. The staying power is really nice, applies and blends in pretty well. There is a fun amount of sparkle and this can also be used as a top up on the eyeshadow, as a highlighter or just as a fun eyeshadow. The packaging makes it even prettier to take along while traveling.
