Burberry makeup has always been very close to my heart, one of the reasons behind that is the legacy of this iconic brand and the luxurious classic touch they give to each of their products. Starting from the quality till the point where it reaches to the consumer in beautiful presentable Burberry gift boxes, everything is just classic. Over the period of last three years, my love for Burberry has increased immensely, you might have read my post about the limited edition Blushes I reviewed a few days back, I have linked it here. The three blushes I am going to talk about in this post are Burberry Light Glow Natural Blush (CAD $47 excl taxes) in No. 5 Blossom Blush, No. 9 Coral Pink and the limited edition darker version of Earthy Blush shade called No. 11 Dark Earthy. These three blushes were purchased by me.
The Blushes are very well made and the packaging is sturdy and heavy-weight. The Blushes do have a very soft floral scent which is very subtle. The packaging of these blushes is in a mirrored square compact and includes an angled blush in the case. The sleek packaging has a magnetic closure and overall it feels very luxurious. The brush included in the compact is a good companion for travel but I do prefer to use a full-size brush when I am not traveling. The product in the case has the beautiful embossing of the Burberry Check pattern. The texture of these blushes is very lightweight finely milled powder and is very easy to apply and blend.
The shade No. 5 Blossom is a bright coral shimmer which looks naturally stunning on my medium tan skin tone. It has shimmer but is very easy to wear and I do wear this to work, looks very natural on my cheeks. No 9 Coral Pink is a deep warm rose pink with a hint of coral which brightens the face. This one is very pigmented and has a subtle shimmer in the compact which does not show when applied on the face. No 11 Dark Earthy is dark matte taupe which does not look like a fun shade but when applied on the cheeks, it gives the beautiful natural contour to the cheeks. This can also be used as an eye shadow, blush, and contour.
From Top to Bottom – No 11 Dark Earthy, No. 5 Blossom, No 9 Coral Pink
All the three shades will look great on all skin tones in my opinion. I love the staying power of these blushes, it stays on well for over 7 hours. I do feel they do boost the complexion and do not look flat when applied. These are available to be purchased at Sephora, Hudsons Bay and Holt Renfrew.
Which shades of blushes do you prefer, pink, coral or earthy? Do you like shimmer, satin or matte finish of a blush?
