There are two new launches from Givenchy Beauty, the packaging alone is so unique and luxurious that I can write a whole post on it. The new launches – Givenchy Disturbia Volume Mascara and Disturbia Liner follows the Givenchy philosophy – ‘Being daring enough to be different. Rules are to be broken. Norms to be defied.'
Givenchy Disturbia Volume Mascara is the new Givenchy mascara, created by Nicolas Degennes, Givenchy Artistic Director for Makeup and Colour, is all you need in the mascara – in both formula and applicator. The mascara is left beautifully curved lashes and amazing volume, does not irritate my sensitive eye area or eyes, does not makes them look and feel heavy. The formula's prowess is maximized by an unprecedented brush, exclusive to the house, a hollow silicone cylindrical applicator with micro-bristles holds just the right amount of product and applies it precisely and evenly, from the root to the tip. The mascara is packaging in a beautiful and elegant looking red packaging with soft spikes. The mascara works nicely, without shedding or falling, even after 8 hours that I have tested it for the maximum time. I use one coat for my everyday makeup and more when I am heading to an event or get together. The good thing is I keep it in my bag, apply it over my first coat of mascara from the morning and it works great.
In keeping with the red packaging of the Volume Disturbia, new Disturbia Liner is an intense black eyeliner that easily glides onto the eyelids and stays put for an impressive amount of time. The pen applicator allows creating lines with the precision of calligraphy. The extreme black shade can be applied alone or on top of the eye shadow without fading or running. I have been using it every day since last week and it stays put for over 12 hours, my eye shadow fades though but this stays.
Givenchy Disturbia Volume Mascara and Disturbia Liner are available at Sephora, Holt Renfrew (Vancouver, Ogilvy, Calgary, and Yorkdale).
