Givenchy Holiday 2020 limited edition collection is here and it is beyond gorgeous. I know this year has not been very good and was not like any other year but who says we can not end the year with some glam and stars in the eyes with the hope that holidays will bring in what we missed all year – the warmth, love, and closeness of loved ones. The collection really perked up my mood and made me feel better. And I think that is all makeup is about – feeling good and empowered. I have to say that Nicolas Degennes has done really amazing work with this limited edition collection, I always look forward to his vision and work.
Givenchy Holiday 2020 Collection is a limited edition collection with some amazing launches and exquisite packaging perfect for the holidays. The collection includes Black To Light Palette, Prisme Libre Loose Powder, Le Rouge, Le Rouge Deep Velvet, and L'interdit Lip Top Coat.
Givenchy Black To Light Palette is composed of 3 eyeshadows for festive as well as a natural sophisticated everyday look. Nicolas Degennes designed a harmony of one matte and two satin colours. They are to be worn on their own, layered or mixed, to structure the eyes with the shading of colour and light.
The eyeshadows have a very smooth, silky texture, and blend easily. The packaging is truly stunning. The shape of stars in an elegant case is decorated with brilliant and enigmatic sequins. The palette is definitely a must-have.
Prisme Libre Loose Powder
Prisme Libre Loose Powder is the iconic 4-colour powder that is long-lasting, blurring, smoothing, and provides radiance – in the holiday packaging. This limited edition powder is available in the shade, Voile Rose. The packaging has a bold and enigmatic glittery pattern. It looks festive in an absolute couture way. The airy-light, ultra-fine powder gives a beautiful and radiant finish to the skin while blurring out the problem areas and keeping the skin comfortable. The soft pink tones of the powder neutralize the dullness and add a healthy, rose-tinted glow.
Le Rouge
Le Rouge in shade 500 Enigmatic Red is a new exclusive shade launched in an enigmatic glittery case that is festive and elegant. The shade is deep red with plum-colour reflections that embellish the lips with a satiny and slightly iridescent veil of colour. The formula is the same iconic Le Rouge formula and is my favourite for my dry lips. It is very soft, lightweight, and comfortable. The lipstick is very pigmented, from the first stroke and glides on quickly on the lips giving a luminous matte finish. It is hydrating and soothing for the lips, never dry out my lips. I am really in love with this shade.
Le Rouge Deep Velvet
Le Rouge Deep Velvet in iconic shade 37 Rouge Graine is dressed in an enigmatic glittery case. The lipstick is very pigmented with a velvety matte finish. The formula is lightweight, smooth, and comfortable on the lips.
L'interdit Lip Top Coat
L'interdit Lip Top Coat is a non-sticky gloss that unifies and smooths the lips while staying comfortable on the lips. The gloss works on its own or layered as a top coat on the lipstick. The result is a subtle and beautiful veil of shimmering colour to intensify the look during the festive period. When used on its own, it adds dimension to the lips with a hint of colour. The packaging is a slender transparent tube with a contrasting cap having the silver logo.
Overall, a really practical and very festive collection. I can see myself using all the products in the coming days. It is hard for me to pick a favourite from this collection – all the products are amazing. I am loving the Le Rouge new shade 500 and the Black to Lights palette. I am also enjoying a bit of L'interdit Lip Top Coat on top of my lipsticks.
