I am so in love with the festive vibe and beautiful vibrant packaging with unique shades of products in the Givenchy Beauty Red Line Collection for holiday 2019. ‘In pursuit of freedom and diversity, the Red Line collection is a call to push your own boundaries and break the rules, with strength and passion. The power of red gives you the courage, strength and intensity to be yourself, truly. Red Line is a Christmas where nothing is out of bounds.'
A confident look that pushes the boundaries of colour and shines an ultra-luminous pink complexion. There are no rules to follow for this blush, highlighter and eyeshadow, the texture blends evenly into the skin for individual results and a look that tears up the rulebook. The Red Line collection comprises products for the complexion, eyes and lips for a Christmas where nothing is out of bounds.
Prisme Libre, Givenchy's iconic loose powder, with its soft and airy-light texture, is dressed up in an exclusive sparkling red case. The best seller shade 01 Mousseline Pastel has been boosted with pink sparkles for a natural, fresh and luminous complexion – No 10 Sparkling Mousseline. For this collection, Nicolas has revisited Maison’s iconic mattifying loose powder and reimagined its starshade, No. 01 Mousseline Pastel. This new creation reveals a delicately natural, luminous and elegant pink – while blue, mauve and white complete the quartet and create light. This special edition is enriched with mother-of-pearl, to add light to the complexion on top of the naturally even finish created by the evanescent. That means the same luminous matte finish with added light and radiance. It is very lightweight and suitable for all skin tones and types.
Red Lights – 4 Colors Face & Eye Palette, the multi-purpose palette, holds a stunning combination of 4 deep creamy shades. This festive case opens to reveal the legendary 4Gs, in a bold palette to embellish the eyes and complexion. A quartet of daring shades: an intense red, a flamboyant pink, a bright peach, plus an illuminating metallic gold. The creamy long-wear texture can be used as a blush, highlighter or even as eyeshadow.
Rouge Interdit is launched in two pearly shades: 27 Bold Red and 28 Thrilling Brown. No 27 Bold Red is an intense red, dotted with mother-of-pearl to create a deep yet subtle shine while No 28 Thrilling Brown is a daring brown with a reddish tone (pearly red pigments). The vibrant colours have exceptional comfort for a second-skin sensation. The pigment is intense with a metallic effect. The formula of Rouge Interdit is very comfortable and nourishing – I have reviewed it a few times in the past. The longevity of the lipstick is pretty nice.
This lipstick is a tribute, to the first Rouge Couture lipstick created by Hubert de Givenchy, which had a case engraved with multiple 4Gs. Thirty years later, for these two shades, Nicolas Degennes imagined engraving the stick of this soft, smooth texture itself with those same 4Gs.
Overall, a gorgeous collection as expected from Givenchy Makeup and Nicolas Degennes. Red Line Collection for Holiday 2019 is available at Sephora, Holt Renfrew
