Guerlain is a French perfume, cosmetics and skincare house which is among the oldest in the world. It has been one of the brands who is loved by all equally and has no age barriers. I have been a Guerlain fan since past few years and have quite a collection of products from them but till today, every time there is a new launch or release, I have the same excitement as any other fan would have. I bought this Guerlain Meteorites Birthday Candle Pearls when I saw them available online in Canada.
As per the Guerlain website, ‘This summer, to celebrate Météorites 30 years anniversary, Guerlain creates the new Birthday Candle Pearls harmony that warms up the complexion and brings radiance to all skin tones. The harmony combines gold pearls to fight dullness, pink pearls to reveal glow, and champagne and white pearls to reflect the light. All in a birthday case inspired by the first 1987 Météorites case. They have a delicate violet fragrance, inimitable and totally addictive.'
The ingredients include the Stardust technology (which sounds so interesting), diamond powder encapsulated in microspheres, to create soft-focus perfecting halo. This powder combines gold pearls to fight dullness, pink pearls to reveal glow, and champagne and white pearls to reflect the light.
I have been loving this powder so much, I have the original one's in the same shade as this limited edition which is Clair. This powder blends right into the skin and gives the perfect natural glow. The best way, as per my experience to use them is to swirl the powder brush into these once or twice, tap the excess into the tin and apply it all over the face. For some time, you will not notice any difference but once it blends into the skin, it gives the most natural glow from within effect. One more tip I would like to share is the ‘Less is more' rule, as a matter of fact the glow is going to be visible once the powder gets blended into the skin, so instead of putting more product on the brush, you should wait for the results as they won't be visible instantly after dabbing it on.
The swatch above does not actually reflect what the beautiful effect it really has. I love this powder and using this since last few years, for me, this is like buying a backup but I love collecting these tins and pearls, that is my excuse for buying these beauties. These are suitable for all skin types and all skin tones.
The packaging of this tin is so beautiful, the pink color makes it so cute, the only downside is the sponge included in the tin. I think the packaging and the sponge were not able to help the pearls survive int he tin as I had few broken pearls inside. Otherwise, in the fancy jar, a nice sponge is must have.
