Nars has launched the ultimate collection for summer this year with some new launches and some new additions to the iconic Bronzing powder range. From the summer launches, I do expect the summer products to wear effortlessly, build weightlessly, and bronze endlessly. This collection is an answer to all you need to survive the summer this year. The Iconic Nars Bronzing Powder has new shades, new packaging, and new matte formula which delivers the same qualities and look of the cult-favourite bronzer but in a matte finish. From the collection, I have been testing the Bronzing Powder, Matte Bronzing Powder, Paradise Found Bronzing Powder, and Oil-Infused Lip Tints.
Nars Bronzing Powder
Nars Bronzing Powder is a finely milled, diffused powder, with a golden shimmer that creates a warmth over the area it is applied to – works beautifully to contour or define the face. It does not emphasize the pores or lines on the skin but blurs them out while making the complexion look even. The formula is buildable. The finish is very natural and does not look ashy or chalky on the skin. The new sleek compact packaging is very easy to hold, use, and store – whether on the go or on the vanity. There are two new shades available in this bronzing powder – San Juan and Punta Cana – I have swatched them both below.
San Juan is a diffused light bronze with golden shimmer
Punta Cana is a diffused rich mahogany brown powder with golden shimmer
Nars Matte Bronzing Powder
Nars Matte Bronzing Powder is a silky lightweight formula that delivers a natural warmth to the skin. It can be used to contour the face or define it but with a matte finish. Above all, the formula is very comfortable, does not feels or looks dry on the skin, with nice longevity. I have swatched the shade Laguna in the picture below. Laguna is a matte warm brown and is perfect for my medium skin with golden undertones. It gives a natural yet noticeable warmth to the skin.
Nars Paradise Found Bronzing Powder
Nars Paradise Found Bronzing Powder is an oversized compact of the cult-classic Laguna Bronzer shade designed with an exclusive shimmer sand-wave design. It is scented with Nars signature French Polynesian Monoi de Tahiti oils which smell so unique and luxurious. The formula is lightweight and silky, glides on the skin easily, and blends like a dream.
The diffused brown powder with an exclusive shimmer sand-wave design is a must-have from the collection. Also, the shimmer is only on the lower part of the design and does fade after a few uses. You are left with the iconic Laguna bronzer in an oversized limited edition compact once the shimmer is gone. If you prefer, you can remove the shimmer with soft brush strokes over it.
Nars Oil-Infused Lip Tint
Nars Oil-Infused Lip Tint is a smooth lightweight formula that glides on lips evenly. It does not give a greasy look and feel. In addition, the formula is nourishing, softening, and is comfortable to wear. It is available in two limited shades – Laguna and Reef. I have swatched the shade Reef which is a sheer mauve shimmer.
Overall, The Bronzing Collection is one of the best collections for summer I have tried so far this year. The Nars Bronzing Powder is a favorite of mine. And this collection launches a new finish and new shades for the same.
In terms of my favorite bronzers apart from Nars, I love Guerlain Terracotta Bronzer. Illamasqua Bronzer is also my current favorite.
