My Review

Bottega Veneta's selection of Tri-fold wallets is mind-blowing! When I set eyes on this bright, energetic orange shade, I knew I just had to get it. The wallet itself is an excellent example of the great detail Bottega brings to its accessories. I love how the leather has a criss-cross design that stands out from the usual wallets. 

I have had it for a while and have loved using it for the summer. The wallet easily holds all my cards, notes, and money without looking packed or being hard to close. I recommend this wallet for those needing extra storage in a purse, as I have not yet filled mine completely! The tri-fold wallet has aged well and has excellent resistance to wear and tear. The zipper on the pocket is of high quality, and the size of the wallet is easy to hold in the hand, even for women. If you are looking for a classy and super practical wallet, look no further than the tri-fold model.

The top notes of the fragrance are Bergamot and Pink Pepper. The middle notes are Jasmine. The base notes of the fragrance are Patchouli, Oak Moss, and Leather. It is a beautiful composition which is sophisticated, darker yet soft. The bright spicy notes in the opening give creamy sweetness. Then it transforms into the creamy velvety warmth of moss and woods. The leather in the base notes is tender having that classical tangy leather richness without being smoky and rough. The floral notes in the fragrance remain hidden under the leather and woody notes and give a nice blend of both. Another fragrance I love from the house is Bottega Veneta Eau de Velours which I reviewed here.

This is a beautiful scent which is sophisticated, sexy and perfect for a self-assured confident yet understated woman. it is well-crafted, elegant, and can be the perfect signature scent. It can be more of winter or fall fragrance if you change the scents with the season but if you are more like the signature scent, it can be perfect all year long. For me, it is perfect to wear every day, every season, and everywhere. I have been wearing it to work and love it. It is warm, soft, creamy, fresh, and quiet. Quiet yet noticeable I mean. On my skin, it stays on for over 7 hours and longer on my clothes. For sure, it is one of my favorite fragrance, love how beautiful the scent is, the perfumer is indeed a genius.

Bottega Veneta Eau de Velours (CAD $156 – 50ml) is a limited-edition, mysterious leathery floral chypre fragrance. The top notes of the fragrance are bergamot and pink pepper, middle notes are rose, jasmine, plum, and spices. The base notes are patchouli and leather.  The fragrance is so delicious from the first spray. The first notes I notice are citrusy with bergamot, the leather starts in pretty quickly. There is a vintage feel to it but a mix of modern composition. Such a beautiful creation. I did not notice much patchouli, but plum was definitely there, adding a fruity sweetness to it, making it more favorable as women's scent. It is not at all a sweet but there is a hint of sweetness that comes through the fruity notes. The rose and the spices are just so beautiful, they are noticeable just around the time when the leather notes come in, the blend of all is marvelous.

On my skin, the longevity of the Bottega Veneta Eau de Velours is around 8-10 hours. I have smelled the Original EDP from the house and do feel the similarities in both after around an hour but the opening is indeed different on both. The fragrance is what I can describe as the class, the name, the packaging, and the blend are just extraordinary, It would definitely be in my top favorites.  I would love to keep this for special occasions or the days I want to treat myself. This fragrance is not very heavy but the perfect sillage to make you feel that it is there. I am definitely going to look into the Original one as the last time I tried, it has been on my wishlist since then. This is definitely worth checking out if you like leathery floral chypre fragrance and moreover, this is limited edition and may be gone soon. I see it is sold out at Holt Renfrew, still available at Nordstrom, Bottega Veneta website(if you are in the US), Harrods.
