My Experience

I have used Inlight body products for a while now. These oils have helped keep my neck, legs and hands looking great. If you’re looking for a super-luxurious, effective product for combatting stretch marks – look no further. Not only does the super nourishing formula of the Clarins Body Partner cream help to correct existing stretch marks, but it also helps to prevent further ones from forming.

Perfect to use during pregnancy or for stretch marks caused by weight fluctuations, this product is packed with skin-loving ingredients. It contains organic green bananas, as well as Centella Asiatica – a plant-derived ingredient that improves elasticity and firmness.

I found that this formula felt super lightweight on my skin. I don’t usually like to apply thick creams, as I find that they don’t sink into my skin that well. However, this was instantly absorbed. Afterwards, my skin felt nourished, smooth and hydrated.

There is a method of applying this for the most effective results. I applied it to my target areas – my thighs, hips, stomach and breasts. I used circular motions on repeat until the product was absorbed into my skin. A top tip from the brand is to warm the product between your hands before applying it, as bringing it to body temperature will help your skin accept the product more efficiently.

If you want to target your stomach during pregnancy specifically, it is advised to place your hands over your stomach like a triangle, and move them from top to bottom on repeat. It’s important not to lift the hands from your skin while doing this so that the product can be worked into the skin properly.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil

If you prefer an oil-based formula when it comes to body care, the Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil is better suited to you. It contains 100% plant extracts, such as rosemary, geranium and mint, and hazelnut oil, which all help increase skin elasticity. It claims to firm, tone and prevents further stretch marks from appearing.

This product is more of preventative treatment. Packing these ingredients into your skin will help to prepare it for the strain of being stretched. For example, during pregnancy or after weight loss. Also, it has a beautiful herbal spa-like scent.

The oil feels a lot more indulgent than the Clarins Body Partner. It feels like more of a relaxing ritual to apply it. It should be applied in the same way, but I always prefer to use this product before bed so that it gets to sink into my skin overnight. Moroever, it has a thicker consistency, so it’s not ideal to be putting on clothes straight after application.

A good tip for using this is that you should use it on damp skin (after showering). Because an oil molecule is thicker than a water molecule, the oil will help to keep the moisture that’s already on your skin from escaping. This guarantees a super soft, smooth result. I found that this oil really helped my skin to retain moisture. Also, I saw the best results after applying it immediately following a shower.
