My Thoughts on Guerlain Double R Renew & Repair Serum

First, the packaging of the serum is beautiful, divided into two completely separate parts. The bottle maintains the integrity of each formula until the moment of application. When pressed, the pump releases just the right dose of each formula to ensure optimal effectiveness. The texture of the serum is creamy and smooth, glides and soaks into the skin rapidly.

I have been using this new serum as a single treatment. After toning, I follow up with this serum and then use Guerlain Youth Watery oil. Then, I follow up with moisturizer. I have been a long-time fan of this and on my second bottle already, reviewed here.

I have been really noticing my skin is radiant. The quality and texture of the skin are improved. My skin looks and feels smooth, fuller, and supple. I am really liking the results and what better season could it be to test this other than fall. The skin peeling is very gentle. I do not feel any irritation or sensitivity, but the skin looks refined and has improved texture. It is gentle yet effective, can be used day and night. One pump is all I need for my full face and an extra pump for my neck and decollete. It does not feel sticky or oily on the skin. It absorbs nicely giving a beautiful glow to the skin at the time of application as well as during the day. I do not feel any dryness or breakouts from using this.

My Thoughts on Guerlain Terracotta 2018 – Terracotta Light

Being a fan of Classic Terracotta, I am well aware of how cult and beautiful this product is. The Classic Terracotta was the first product I purchased from Guerlain and I have never looked back. It is one of my all-time favourites bronzers. After seeing this new launch, I was so excited to try it and I am happy I did. The two shades work in harmony to give a beautiful sunkissed look to the complexion which looks fresh as well as natural. It is perfect for a vacation or for daily use which looks radiant yet natural. The powder is finely milled, buildable, and the texture is very smooth, blends in the skin seamlessly.

Guerlain Meteorites base

Guerlain Meteorites base is another product I have been using for the last few months as a makeup base. It is a skin-perfecting and anti-dullness make-up base. The fresh gel texture melts with rosy pearls to give the skin a plumpy finish. While a combination of absorbent powders and a special polymer neutralizes excess sebum. It helps to conceal blemishes for a long-lasting matte complexion that gradually becomes more even with each application. Multi-coloured pearlescent flecks maximize the diffusion of light and delicately correct the complexion, the signature of the Météorites range. It has a delicate violet fragrance, inimitable and totally addictive.

My Thoughts on Guerlain Meteorites base

At first, I thought it might be pinkish or whitish for my medium tan skin tone with golden undertones. However, as I started using it, It has a neutral finish on the skin but it does works in creating a nice base for makeup, controls my oily areas on the skin, makeup stays on put for almost the whole day when I have this on. I do feel it blurs out my problem areas and gives a natural radiance to the skin.

For your reference, I love the original Meteorites powder. I use it on days when nothing else works. Or when my skin is behaving I reach out to it for blurring effect and radiance. I do love the L'Or primer (reviewed here) from Guerlain which is my most favourite. I would say they both are classic but I do love my L'Or a little more than this.

They are hydrating and the staying power is good. The formula is very pigmented. I was sent Kisskiss Matte in Shade M330 Spicy Burgundy and Intense Liquid Matte in M71 Exciting Pink, both are swatched at the end of this post. It is available in 7 hypnotic shades for every mood.

Guerlain Kisskiss Liplift Smoothing Lipstick Primer

Apart from the above new launches for the fall collection, sharing few other new favorites from Guerlain. Guerlain Kisskiss Liplift Smoothing Lipstick Primer (CAD $44) is a smoothing base in a stick that helps define lip contour, smoothes, and prepares the lips for long-lasting makeup. The texture is very creamy, rich, and supple which does stay on without any slippery feeling, that is why the lipstick will stay on for a long time. It is available in one neutral translucent shade which helps preserve and enhance the color of lipstick. I did not notice any feathering of the lipstick while using this as the base. The fragrance of this primer is subtle vanilla-violet with the sparkling scent of berries.

Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow Touch

Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow Touch (CAD $48) is described as a luminizer stick with meteorites mix of colors that allow creating an easy strobing. The shade “Golden Glow” is something that will work perfectly to enhance the complexion without looking unnatural. It does give that natural effect which is an enhanced version of your own self with revived complexion. It has a delicate violet fragrance. The formula is created with Stardust technology which has diamond powder encapsulated in microspheres to create soft focus perfecting halo, like an ideal mix of correcting and illuminating colors. I apply it on the top of my cheekbones, bridge of the nose, cupids bow, angles of my eyebrows and it gives the perfect natural radiance. I blend it by tapping my finger on it.

Guerlain Terracotta Sun Trio

Guerlain Terracotta Sun Trio (CAD $63) is described as the first Guerlain Bronzer and contouring powder that combines three shades in one palette, to tan, contour, and light the complexion. The finish is ultra-natural matte. The fragrance is the signature terracotta scent which I am a fan, the best part of applying makeup when I am using my Guerlain Terracotta bronzer. There are three ways described to use this powder. For easy and sunny contouring, the bottom bronzing shade is applied by tracing 3 on each side of the face and then shaded areas are created by the top right darker shade under the cheekbones to the sides of the forehead and along the sides of the nose. The light shade is applied to the temples and under the outer corner of the eyes and the t-zone. For a natural glow, all the shades and blended together and applied as per the need. The natural shade does work very well to provide an all over glow to the face for my medium tan skin tone with yellow undertones.

Guerlain Blurring Active Base

Guerlain Blurring Active Base (CAD $52) is multi purpose product which is a makeup base as well as provides skin care benefits. It blurs the appearance of pores and provides a shine-free complexion. The texture is non-greasy and feels very fresh on the skin. It contains UrbanProtect Complex which has antioxidant properties similar to Vitamin E and helps fight pollution and protects the skin by targeting free radicals. It works very well as a makeup base and keeps the makeup last longer, and also as a skincare product which can be used as such over the skincare products as the last step. It is available in one universal white rosy shade which is invisible upon application.
