The Eye Pods

Westman Atelier's collection of eye pods is a trio of luminous eyeshadows. Using the cleanest ingredients in the industry, the brand offers silky smooth eyeshadows that blend out to perfection. The cream-powder texture makes these eyeshadows springy, elastic, and easy to build up. The creamy texture is also greatly known for its zero fallout and works excellently with the radiant finish of the shades! The eyepods have a fun and handy design with three magnetic pods that can snap together or apart for easy transport.

The Shades

The eyepods are available in three beautiful palettes:

• Les Jours (Swatches below): French for “the days,” is a warm palette composed of a luminous white, a champagne beige, and a chocolate brown. This palette will complete blue eyes perfectly!

Inside this clean beauty formula, the brand has committed to creating No silicones, parabens, PEGs, etc. cosmetics. The eyeshadows have three main ingredients that are key to their long-lasting and silky texture:

• Ethically-Sourced Mica: Reflecting light, the naturally sourced pigments add a soft shimmer to the eyepods.
• Coconut Oil: Deeply nourishing, this active allows a comfortable, elastic eyeshadow experience. Rich in Lauric Acid and naturally antibacterial, coconut oil contributes to soothing.
• Featherweight Rice Extract: Replacing the talc in the eyeshadow allows a silky smooth application each time.

How To Use Them?

The eyepods give you so many makeup options, but they can also be used on and around the face:

• Combine two or three colors for an effortless blend of colors. Start with the lighter shade on the inner eye and work outwards.
• Use the lighter shades to open the contour by applying it on the inner eye corner and under the eye.
• With a humid brush, the darker shades become great liners.
• If you have darker hair, try using a brown or black shade in your eyebrows. This adds density and structure.

My Experience

I am constantly on the lookout for cream-powder eyeshadows. Since I tried these textures, I can't go back. If you want to save time in the morning but accentuate your eyes, the eyepods are the way to go.

They slide on the eyelids easily and blend in a couple of movements. I prefer to apply them with my fingers.

I purchased “Les jours” and “Les nuits” and have used them for many different things. The packaging is fun and allows you to keep them nicely stored in the bag or drawer. The eyepods are the future of eyeshadows and effortless makeup routines!

My Experience

Stick blushers have become a favourite of mine after trying this brand. Quick, easy and mess-free, these sticks bring a pop of colour to your everyday makeup. The sticks can be applied to the cheek and blended to perfection. They have a great size to travel with but must be kept from heat. I selected the soft shade of Dou Dou. The blushers are available in a gift set: The petal edition trio.

The finished look is natural, and I enjoyed the lightly scented textures. The blushers deliver a medium coverage and also look great on the lips. Lightweight and grease-free, all skin types can use these sticks.

Other favourites to check from the brand are Vital Pressed Skincare Powder and Vital Skin Foundation Stick. For lips, I love Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm.

My Review

Westman atelier makeup products are a big hit amongst celebrities. With the new trend of skincare makeup products, it seemed the perfect moment to test the vital pressed powder.

My first application was on naked skin. The shade Dune is perfect for a no-makeup/ Makeup look on my skin tone. Helping control excess shine, the powder also blurred the skin texture pretty well. I would 100% have this in my handbag to refresh during the day.

I tested it over my usual foundation and was surprisingly pleased with the result. Smooth and natural-looking, the powder helped reduce lines and pores for a flawless look! I hate wearing heavy, drying powders, so this feather-light feeling was more than welcome.

This foundation by the Westman atelier has a luxuriously creamy texture and gives skin a natural finish.

The naturally derived ingredients in the foundation stick make it safe to use.

• Berryflux vita extract: it helps in keeping skin hydrated and strengthening youth-preserving elements.
• Camellia Seed Oil: provides an antioxidant element to the skin and keeps moisture locked in the skin. It is also rich in Omega 9s.
• Coconut oil: helps in rejuvenating skin and soothes the skin. It also enhances elasticity and gives an even tone to the skin.

My Review

Foundations can ruin or elevate the whole make-up look. It is important to choose a foundation correctly. I have always preferred the foundations that do not dry the skin. They tend to blend better and do not give a cakey look to the make-up. I have tried a lot of foundations and regretted them. Coverage is an important element of the foundation that highly depends on the texture of the product.

The foundation stick has an amazing texture that blends smoothly on the skin. I usually moisturize my skin thoroughly before applying foundation which might also be helpful in the smooth application. It gives a rather natural finish to the skin and feels like silk. It has not caused any reactions on my skin and I use it on a regular basis. The finish of this foundation is so good that sometimes I don’t even need to apply anything else as it works great as a concealer too.

Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm is housed in luxurious and matte black tubes with a weight to them. The shiny twist-off top has a think clear window that shows the color of the balm inside. This aligns with the other products from Westman Atelier and their packaging. The liquid lip balm comes with a flat doe-foot applicator and makes the application easy. The liquid lip balm comes in 6 shades in total. I picked three shades that suit my medium as well as all skin tones. The shades are sophisticated and beautiful.

My Thoughts

Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm is a very juicy yet lightweight formula. It feels bouncy and nourishing on the lips without the feeling of heaviness. They are not greasy at all. The texture can be compared to light balmy gloss. On the lips, it provides nourishment and moisture that is very soothing. The gel-oil formula is really nice and comfortable. The oils in the formula impart a slight slip to the product. The liquid lip balm has a sheer hint of color. It looks beautiful on its own, improving the natural color of lips with an added hint of color. On a saturated lipstick, it provides a protective layer with nourishment and shine.

When using Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm, I feel my lips are overall hydrated and comfortable, even after it has worn off. The lips are soft and hydrated. It leaves a beautiful sheer stain on the lips. Depending on the natural color of your lips, their sheerness might be different.

Shades

On my medium skin tone and natural pink lips, the three shades I chose are below:

• garçonne – just bitten
• ma puce – raspberry lolly
• pipsqueak – bright brick

The shades impart a beautiful sheer tint on the lips. They are not sticky at all. The lips look so smooth, supple, and juicy. I am really enjoying this newest launch. I have very dry lips and this liquid lip balm is so soothing and comfortable for my lips. The longevity is good for a tinted lip balm, stays on for over 2-3 hours when I am not drinking or eating. But, the lips stay nice and hydrated even after that time. It has a light fruity scent that is very natural and dissipates quickly. With gorgeous packaging, beautiful formula, and a comforting glossy finish, I am enjoying it very much.
