Cleansers are an essential part of the skincare routine which makes the face canvas ready for either treatment product or for a moisturizer. this is the first step of a skincare routine and the most important one, and you have to ensure your skin is clean yet not stripped off the moisture when you cleanse it. There are numerous options in the market for oily, combination or problem skin types, but getting the one right for your concern and skin type is the main struggle. I have bought and tried many cleansers; a good cleanser is always welcome to my skincare stash, whether for my first or second cleanse. Epionce Lytic Gel Cleanser was sent to me for testing and review. I have enjoyed it for the last few months as a first cleanse and sometimes as both a first and second cleanse in the evenings.
Epionce Lytic Gel Cleanser is an invigorating cleanser and is suitable for oily and problem skin types. It is paraben-free, fragrance-free, and non-comedogenic. It is a refreshing anti-microbial cleanser that effectively removes dirt, oil, and makeup. Moreover, it does not cause dryness or strip the skin barrier. Also, it helps clear the pose to improve oily and acne-prone skin symptoms. The key ingredients in this cleanser are Willow bark extract, Marshmallow root extract, and Menthol. The cleanser is housed in a heavy glass bottle with a pump.
My Thoughts
This cleanser can be used to cleanse skin prior to chemical peel or microdermabrasion. It can also be used as a body wash to help treat acne, dermatitis, and psoriasis. It can even be used as a shampoo to help seborrheic dermatitis. This is indeed a multitasking product. I use a pump or two of this cleanser on my wet face and massage it onto my skin, it does sting a little on the eyes. Then I wash with warm water, and my skin feels clean, hydrated, and ready for the next step in my skincare routine.
I use a cleansing oil or balm as a first cleanse when I have full-on makeup on my face or when I use mascara or some waterproof or long-lasting makeup. Then I follow with this cleanser and then to my treatment products. This has been a nice addition to my cleansers and is very refreshing. There is a subtle lemony (acidy) smell when I use this. It does lather but not much. It does not make my existing breakouts or my skin dry.
Lytic Gel Cleanser is a nice addition to my cleansers and is very refreshing. I would totally recommend it to someone with combination, oily, or problem skin types. Even for most types of dermatitis, I have used it as a shampoo once for my itchy scalp and did feel calmness on my scalp. I am definitely going to try more from this skincare line.
