Most rose-based fragrances smell quite similar, but this one is unique. Having smelled countless perfumes in my time, I had a preconceived idea of what this would smell like. But after the very first spritz, I realized it was totally different from that!
While Turkish rose and peony are the main notes, there is also a touch of nutmeg, bergamot, rhubarb, and lychee adding a modern twist. Undertones of vanilla, cashmeran and white musk also add a decadent, heady finish that creates a sensual, indulgent feel.
The bottle also makes for the most beautiful ornament for your dresser, which means there’s life left in the bottle even after you’ve used up all of the juice. An intricate pink pressed glass finish, dressed up with pink tassels to give the ultimate girly feel. And, the pièce de résistance for me, has got to be the crystal on the cap of the fragrance. It screams classiness and luxury.
Why I Love Delina So Much?
I found that this perfume lasted a very long time on the skin. It clings to clothes as well. I can still smell the scent strongly on my skin at the end of the day, which means that the ingredients are pure and potent. However, I’m not sure if this scent is one to wear every day. It feels too special! It’s strong, lingering, and not to mention quite expensive. I would say that this fragrance is the perfect ‘wedding day scent’. It’s pure enough to compliment the smell of any bridal bouquet, but also deep enough to exaggerate the sexiness and elegance a bride should feel on her wedding day.
I feel good when I wear this scent. I get complimented on it, and I know it lingers in a room after I’ve left it – because I’ve been told! And I love a fragrance that can leave a lasting impression like this, and it feels like a signature scent that I will use on special occasions. But that’s only because it’s my personal preference to wear something a little more subtle in day-to-day life. It’s also very versatile – I find it suitable for all seasons. I will wear it in cold weather and on my summer vacation, and it feels equally appropriate for both. This seriously attractive, more-ish smell will have everyone asking you what perfume you are wearing. A great conversation starter, if nothing else!
