Givenchy Beauty, I hear the name and everything I have tried from the brand comes to mind, which in turn brings the legacy, style, quality, craftsmanship, and innovation of the house. With a great legacy, there comes the responsibility and a status to maintain, so no doubt why I adore all the products which I have so much in my daily routine. The latest innovation and launch from the house is the Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide which I have been so intrigued by, ever since I saw it on Nicolas Degennes, and Givenchy Beauty Instagram feed. The phrase associated with this new launch is ‘This is not what you think'. Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide is the Givenchy Le Rouge Lipstick in a stick but in a liquid soft-matte formula which is blurring, hydrating, and velvety.
Givenchy’s newest couture creation ‘Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide' is described as a classic lipstick tube with a liquid formula inside. A twist mechanism releases into the applicator a soft, velvet cream. The finish is semi-matte, due to the combination of several powders. Lightweight in feel, long-lasting in effect.
The melt-on-the-mouth formula that also hydrates the lips. This formula with balm-like comfort comes in 14 liquid dense-pigment shades. Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide is encased in a luxurious black leather tube with silver stud detailing, the same iconic and classic packaging which is a total luxury to hold, keep, and apply throughout the day. It opens to flaunt a distinctly un-lipstick-like, pen-like foam applicator that’s designed to deliver just the right amount of super-vibrant, whipped, creamy liquid color. Open, twist, and it releases a soft, sensual cashmere caress of extravagant, daring color.
‘The formula is hyaluronic-acid-infused which hydrates and smooths the lips like a nourishing lip balm—keeping delicate skin petal-soft for up to six hours—while clay extracts create a brilliant sheath effect that wraps your lips in intense color that lasts all day without a hint of drying. I have been using Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide since last week and I have been impressed with the creation. Starting from the packaging and how the product is dispensed from the top of a foam applicator and the way it feels on the lips, it is all incredible. The application is very easy, glides on very comfortably on the lips. The twist up applicator works very well to control the amount of product you want to apply, If I want a hint of color and not intense finish, I just need to twist a little and good thing is I can see how much the product is dispensed as you see in the picture. The formula is creamy, comfortable to wear and does not dry my lips, my lips are usually dry and prone to peeling but no issues while using it.

The staying time is impressive too, I am able to get a wear time of over 5 hours before it starts fading. One swipe is enough to transfer the intensity of color you have dispensed by twisting up, the formula is very smooth and hydrating. For a more precise look, I would recommend a lip liner, it works great for me for that diffused, blurred color look. It is a semi-matte formula but the consistency and feel are like a lip balm. There is a sweet fragrance in the product but very subtle and feels very natural. If you are looking for something moisturizing, semi-matte, pigmented, long-lasting, this is it. I highly highly recommend you to check this one, It has become a favorite.
