Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder is the cult super powder since 2006, it has been loved and raved by many. There is a special thing in the product that makes it a cult favourite and this is no doubt one of those products which was, is, and will always be loved for what it does. Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder is described as a loose powder with a fusion of four complimentary, complexion-refining shades that together, create a made-to-measure, colour-correcting finish.

Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder

Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder is said to give surreal skin perfection in four natural shades. Each colour combination evens out the appearance of skin tone while enhancing radiance and keeping shine under the utmost control. Upon application, imperfections appear diminished and skin looks more even and porcelain in nature, with a lasting, radiant, matte finish. The formula and the pigments are treated with an exclusive, technological atomization process that creates a perfectly uniform and natural-looking result.

Givenchy Poudre Première Mat & Translucent-Finish Loose Powder

The powder is very finely milled and comes in a beautiful square-shaped Givenchy cube. The sifter holes form the Givenchy logo which looks so pretty. There are four separate squares for each shade. I have been using these powders for quite some time now and do feel they are really amazing. They blend into the skin seamlessly without giving any feeling of powder on the face. It does not set into the imperfections or the lines.

I do notice it kind of blurs the imperfections and gives a more even-toned skin. I use it as setting powder and it gives me a nice radiant finish which is semi-matte but not overly flat kind of matte. Please note that I prefer a glowy finish so I use a less quantity of this.

Packaging

The packaging of the powder can make it sometimes hard to get just the right amount of powder out but with use, you get the hold of how much you need to tilt it to get the right amount out of the case. I tilt a little less than 45 degrees and tip it over the cap, mix all the four shades with the brush, tap off the excess and apply.

My Thoughts

It does not emphasize the dry areas on my skin but makes my skin look radiant and fresh. Every time you use it, there is a very little amount you need, and even after using one for 3 years, I still haven't made a dent in my first jar.

I did not notice any oxidation or grey cast from these powders. It does not creases or settles in the lines, even on my mom's skin, she is in her late 50s. The powder has fragrance, it is flowery and subtle, goes away pretty fast after application. The powder stays on pretty well for the whole day and I usually don't need any touchups with it, the natural glow is all I see all day.

Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder

If you are more into translucent powders, this is a must-try. It is very finely milled, silky and gives a beautiful radiant finish. The powder is great to apply under the eyes or for the whole face. It just melts into the skin to give a beautiful glow and finish, the face does not look cakey at all. It does not settle into the imperfections and staying power is really good. Keeps my makeup intact for the whole day and the oiliness is not noticed. Overall, the powders are worth checking out and trying, are worth the price and all the hype. A very little amount is all you need and I don't see it going anywhere for years to come, in the context of getting over.
