Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder Review

This ultimate blurring, the illuminating powder, was released in 2006 and has become one of the best-selling products. An extra-fine powder mattifies the complexion using a combination of four unique colours. Two are used for colour correction, and the other for radiance. They work harmoniously and offer a natural, matte look to your makeup or natural skin.

What makes it great?

Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder is a loose powder protected by a minimalistic, sculptural case. Available in 6 different shades, it offers a skin-perfecting result for all skin carnations. The powder delivers an even complexion with a transparent, second-skin finish. Also, this works well with the current trend of the fresh-faced, mo makeup look. The loose powder comes with a fluffy houpette cushion, making applying the soft, airy powder easier. Although it mattifies shiny zones on the skin, this powder leaves a radiant, glowing finish that lasts up to six hours. What better way to set your makeup and sublime the skin?

Why choose Givenchy's Prisme libre powder?

Put aside the stunning design of the product. Givenchy offers an excellent powder for your everyday looks. Unlike your regular beige powders, this one also helps colour correct. What does that mean?

Inside today's selected shade, N.4 Mousseline acidulee“, you will find green and purple/ lilac shades.

Green = Hides redness on the skin.

Purple/lilac= Fights dullness and yellow tints in the skin.

Overall, they ensure an even-looking result by adding a colour correction to their powder.

Loose powder or compact?

Need help to decide if you should go for loose powder or compact? We listed a few tips to guide you to the right product.

Today many people use loose powder to fix their makeup—buildable coverage.-Loose powders: Offer a lightweight, mattifying effect. They can be applied using a brush, houpette, or beauty blender.

-Compact powders: Tidier than the loose powders, they are also used to mattify skin by adding a generally thicker layer of powder. A compact powder is a way to go if you want extra coverage. It can also be an excellent solution for those who want to avoid wearing foundation. The compact powder can be applied in many ways, using a brush, or they generally come with a sponge or cushion.

My Review

I enjoyed discovering this powder. Givenchy has always fascinated me, and I regularly use their “mister healthy glow bronzer”. I did not feel like it was “cakey “, and I would even recommend this to those who use the meteorite powder from Guerlain. Also, it has more coverage with a similar perfecting effect.

Givenchy Prisme Libre Loose Powder is very light and smells divine. I applied it with the houpette over my foundation and got a silky smooth finish to my skin. The powder helps to blur out the skin whilst mattifying any shiny spots. The prisme libre feels excellent on the skin but is messy, so pick up only a little. All in all, this powder gives excellent results and looks stunning in the makeup bag.
