With Valentine's Day around the corner, I am presenting you the new launches from Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Collection which launched this month. The new launches include new liquid lips, brow products, roller ball eyeliner, and a fragrance. The collection has a nice range of products that are perfect if you are looking for a gift either for someone or for yourself. The packaging is the first thing that catches the eye and it is beautiful, right? I have my reviews and swatches of Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip & Shine, Lip Colour’Ink in Empowered, Brow Duo (Mascara and Highlighter), and La Petite Noire Eau de Parfum Legere.
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip & Shine
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip & Shine (CAD $34) is a hydrating base and glossy top coat in one formula. It can be used as a hydrating base for lips and will leave lips supple and comfortable before applying the lipstick. As a top coat for lips, it gives ultra-shiny results when used over the lipstick. The product has a floral fruity fragrance with accents of bergamot, rose, and raspberry, inspired by the La Petite Noire delicious notes.
The formula is enriched with an emollient agent which leaves the lips supple and comfortable. It can be applied alone, as a base, or as a top coat. I have tried in all ways and really like the formula. It is very comfortable on the lips and keeps the lips shiny and supple. Over the lipstick, it stays on quite well, is not sticky. The consistency is nice and the applicator works very well.
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour’Ink
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Lip Colour’Ink (CAD $34) is a liquid lipstick with a matte finish. The intensity is buildable depending on the need. One layer of the lip color gives a nice soft color to the lips, and two or more layers give full coverage. The texture is ultra fine, the formula is weightless and does not transfer. It has a fruity floral fragrance same as the lip and shine described above. The staying power is amazing, the stain was still on my lips for after 5 hours. Also, there are new beautiful shades of lip colors in the Guerlain spring 2018 collection along with color correctors which I reviewed here.
Empowered is a must have shade and will look great on most skin tones. One layer of it gives a beautiful soft color while layering it increases the intensity. Topping it with the lip and shine gives that beautiful shiny lips. I really like the formula, matte finish but very comfortable on the lips, did not dry out my lips at all. Lip Colour’Ink is available in 15 shades.
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Brow Duo
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Brow Duo (CAD $33) is a first 2 in 1 brow mascara + highlighter. On one side, the brow mascara allows to define, set in place and create visibly fuller brows, and on the other end, the highlighter with a creamy formula creates bigger better eyes. The brow mascara has a long hold gel formula which has a nice staying power and lasts all day. I use the brow mascara by brushing the brows to define their shape and repeating to get the desired thickness. I apply the highlighter under the arch of the eyebrows. There are two shades available in this brow duo, light and deep.
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum Legere
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum Legere (CAD $109 – 50ml) is a floral fruity fragrance which is a lighter version of La Petite Robe Noire made with rose water. The nose behind the fragrance is Thierry Wasser. The top notes are cherry, rose water, and almond. The middle notes are rose and black tea. The base notes are tonka bean and patchouli. The packaging as you see is beautiful, the legendary inverted heart bottle is tinted with an incredibly chic, luminous purple-pink. Through the bottle, the black silhouette of a delicate crocheted dress is visible.
