Guerlain new launches, be it limited edition or additions to the permanent range, are something I always look forward to. The brand has a special place in my heart and in my vanity too, it is one of those brands which does not just have an exceptional and unique product but the legacy of the house goes way back when it stirred the society by having a decorated lipstick case which women could carry around with hesitation and without keeping it in the deep pockets of their bags. I am sharing few new launches from Guerlain, not particularly covering all products from new Mad Eyes Collection or Terracotta launches but two new Meteorites launches along with the new Mascara from Mad Eyes Collection all of which I have been using and loving since last few days including Guerlain Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette, Guerlain Meteorites Liquid Pearls, Guerlain Mad Eyes Mascara, and Mini Terracotta Bronzing Powder.
Guerlain Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette is a multi-faceted highlighting palette enriched with pearl extract and pearlescent pigments. There are three illuminating shades in the palette that can be used alone on their own or can be mixed and matched based on your need. The formula uses an infusion of Japanese marine pearls to create a luminous complexion. There are endless ideas to use the three shades included in the palette. They work great as an eyeshadow or as an eyeshadow topper to intensify the effect of base shadow, or used as a blush especially the pinkish shade, or can be used as a highlighter not just on the high points of the face but also on the body like the centre of the collar bone or top of shoulders.
On the eyes, they brighten the whole look while as a blush it gives a light tint to colour to the cheeks. For my medium skin tone with warm undertones, Once applied, the shades look very natural and adjust a little with the skin tone and type. They blend nicely without looking as a separate layer of product on the skin. I prefer using a finger to apply it and with the heat of the skin, it melts beautifully on the skin. But it can be used with a brush too.
The three shades pink, gold, and amber work in harmony if used together and when used separately, they give a customized look, fresh or warmth. The texture of the powder is so smooth and creamy. It does not dry or irritates my problem skin or the problem areas. Also, there is a very subtle delicate violet scent which I love so much already, it dissipates quickly once the product is applied. Overall the palette has impressed me very much, it revives the complexion while giving a beautiful natural luminous complexion, skin looks healthy, smooth, and supple without emphasizing any problem areas.
Guerlain Meteorites Liquid Pearls is a first illuminator pen from the brand and is very innovative in terms of the technology behind it plus the packaging along with the applicator. The fresh gel texture is very unique and melts into the skin to brighten the facial contours with an iridescent veil. The formula is infused with Japanese Pearl extract deliver a two-step action – same for the Meteorites Pearl Dust Palette, which delivers a subtle instant glow on application and skincare benefits with each application.
I really like the applicator along with the formula, it is very refreshing while applying and the applicator dispenses just right amount on the tip in one go. Blending it is easy to and looks very natural once blended. Overall, the skin looks bright and fresh. It is available in three shades but I have swatched only one shade, I will update this post with swatches of rest of the shades soon. There is the same meteorites scent in this illuminator, a delicate violet scent. It does not dry or irritates my problem skin. It is hydrating, illuminating, and makes the complexion look smooth, luminous, and healthy at the same time. I use it directly on the high points of my face including the tops of cheeks, brow bone, cupid’s bow and then blend with fingertips.
Guerlain Mad Eyes Collection launched recently and is a fantastic collection of products for eyes, with pigmented formulas which are long-wear, sensorial textures enriched with active ingredients with conditioning effects. The whole Mad Eyes collection looks so stunning, I will share in a new post if I get to try more products from the collection but for now, sharing about the Mad Eyes Mascara which I am totally in love with. First of all, the packaging of the mascara is so beautiful and the wand looks really good. The formula is very pigmented and easily buildable. The fibre-brush is very soft and keeps the application very comfortable. With skincare benefits, the formula also conditions the lashes while it is on, is clump-free, and is creamy. A single layer of mascara gives me a pretty nice volume with long and thick lashes. A few more layers, for me personally, it gives me an effect of fake yet beautiful looking lashes. The mascara is resistant to tears and humidity. I did not experience any fall off during the time I had it own – which was basically the whole day. A single layer makes my lashes look so natural and beautiful, perfect for my everyday zoom or ms teams meetings.
I have shared about the Terracotta Bronzing Powder many times in the past but I have a new reason to mention it again, my favourite bronzing powder is now available in mini size. That means I can carry the mini version in my bag and if you have not tried the Terracotta bronzer yet, now you can try the mini version before getting the full size or like me, you can have the mini cute version in your bag.
Terracotta bronzing powder instantly gives a natural-looking warmth and glow to the skin which amazing longevity and without drying out the skin. It has the same scent as the original version, I can never stop saying that but the scent just takes the whole application process to the next levels, as an invitation to escape. The mini version is available in 3 shades, I have swatched 03 Natural Brunettes.
Overall, stunning launches from Guerlain, I am really impressed. Guerlain Beauty Products and Home Fragrances are available at Guerlain Boutiques, Hudson’s Bay, Shoppers Drug Mart, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora, and Holt Renfrew.*Press samples
