MAC Cosmetics Botanic Panic Collection for summer 2021 has launched. The collection is inspired by the Garden of Summer. And therefore, all the seasonal shades in the collection act as an inspiration to create a wide range of summer looks. The limited edition features vibrant hues and on-trend topiary tones for the eyes, lips, and cheeks. Be it everyday natural or summer-focused, the collection has it all. As depicted on the very creative packaging, there are bright wildflower meadows, out-of-control colorful blooms, and visionary vibrancy. There is an abundance of fun and lively vibes to channel the inner artist with the prettiest bouquet imaginable. I have reviewed and swatched the full collection below.
Botanic Panic Eyeshadow X 12
This limited-edition eyeshadow palette has 12 petal-soft pigments with pops of color inspired by the blossoming garden. The palette has a mix of shades with matte, frost, as well as lustre finish. Just looking at the packaging and the shades in the palette, it is a treat to the eyes. Above all, the vibrancy truly inspires me to enjoy the summer. The packaging has a variety of blooms on a curated abstract fluorescent cover.
Below are the shades and their description:
- Keep on Twinkling: Light pink with pearl (Lustre)
- Jam Session: Cool purple (Frost)
- Magic Mushroom: Warm mid-tone purple (Veluxe pearl)
- Aqua: Seafoam (Matte)
- Magnetic Field: Green gold (Matte)
- Royal Woo: Bright yellow (Matte)
- Picnic Panic: Lime green (Veluxe pearl)
- Surf USA: Turquoise blue-green (Frost)
- Marigold Digger: Warm gold (Frost)
- Botanic Panic: Peachy red (Matte)
- Floral A Go-Go: Coppery pink (Frost)
- Lastly, All Thorns, No Rose: Orange (Matte)
The formula is pigmented overall and very smooth. It applies well and blends easily. The lustre shades are so smooth and shiny, there is no fallout. For the matte shades, they apply well and blend well. They are not as pigmented as the frost and lustre but overall, they are pigmented and easily buildable. The frost shades are very interesting and unique, super pigmented and smooth. In terms of longevity, as the other MAC eyeshadow formulas, these are amazing. I did not notice any creasing or any irritation on my sensitive eye area. Another amazing thing is that the eyeshadows can be used wet and dry. With these vibrant shades in MAC Cosmetics Botanic Panic Collection, there are numerous possibilities to create looks. Overall, I am very impressed.
Botanic Panic Lipstick
MAC Lipstick needs no introduction. It is the cult product loved by one and all. I love collecting the products that I love and are launched in limited-edition packaging. And this is one of those products. The formula is the same, the shades are a few of the most-loved, and the packaging is new. That does make it an accessory to carry with you in summer as well as use throughout the year.
The lipstick has a creamy matte finish with impressive longevity of over 8 hours on my lips. Also, I not noticed any feathering. The lipstick feels lightweight and is comfortable on the lips. Above all, all shades are universally flattering. Apart from skew, all the shades have creamy matte finish. Skew has a pearlescent semi-lustrous finish.
Below are the shades launched in MAC Cosmetics Botanic Panic Collection and their description:
- Ruby Woo – It is a cranberry shade, a long-time favorite of mine
- Tulip Service – It is a peachy red shade
- La-Di-Dahlia – It is a mid-tone pink shade
- Skew – Coral with a pink duo-chrome. This frosty coral pink has chrome highlights.
- Lastly, Forget-Me-Naughty – It is a lilac shade
Botanic Panic Extra Dimension Skin Finish
Extra Dimension Skin Finish is a liquid-powder multi-reflective highlighter. It works as a highlighter as well as gives a hint of color to the complexion. The powder is creamy and weightless. It is pigmented and blends nicely to give a streak-free finish. This powder is launched in two limited edition shades in the MAC Cosmetics Botanic Panic Collection. The finish of both shades is high-shine metallic.
Below is the description:
- Fleur Sure – White Gold
- And, Royal Flush – Golden Plum
Both the shades look really pretty on the skin. In addition, there is no fallout or glitter. The shimmer is very fine and intense, almost dewy. Also, the longevity of these powders is impressive. It stays put together on my skin for over 10 hours without any irritation.
I am also enjoying the new base recently launched by MAC. MAC Studio Radiance Face & Body is the perfect everyday base for me. It is very lightweight and looks so natural on the skin. If you love liquid lip color, I am very impressed with the new MAC Love Me Liquid Lip Color. It is very comfortable and its longevity is impressive.
