Perricone MD is a skincare brand which has been developed by Dr Nicholas Perricone, MD, and he is a board certified dermatologist, nutritionist who has written books on subjects of weight loss and maintaining the appearance of youth. He is an Adjunct Professor of medicine at Michigan State University's College. He has been known to take an anti-Botox stance and stresses on anti-inflammatory diet plus nutritional supplements and topical anti aging products, all of which can help produce better results in fighting the aging process.
I have few skincare products that I have bought and tried from Perricone MD, which I will be reviewing soon. These No Makeup products from the Perricone MD No Makeup collection. I bought these all almost five months back and they are the most used products in my collection when my skin behaves the best, means when I do not have blemishes ( yes, that happens few times in a month), I do not have to conceal much or when I want very natural finish.
Buying from the brand, whose founder and creator is into the science of skin, nutrition, and health, I was excited as well as very positive of the results from the products. I bought Perricone MD No Blush Blush (CAD $45 excl taxes), Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum (CAD $74 excl taxes), Perricone MD No Lipstick Lipstick (CAD $39 excl taxes) and Perricone MD No Mascara Mascara was a deluxe sample gift with the purchase but a good size to have a good test. From the names of the products, they do sound different and interesting at the same time.
Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum is an anti-aging fragrance-free lightweight foundation with a texture like a serum. It is suitable for all skin types and provides with a semi-matte finish with the protection of non-chemical SPF 30. There is one shade available in this foundation which is universal means all skin tones can use this single product, which helps deliver a radiant, semi-matte finish, it is buildable based on the requirement of your skin. The Neuropeptides in this foundation soften imperfections and minimizes the appearance of wrinkles and pores without settling into the fine lines. It contains sun protection SPF 30 which is mineral based and helps protect skin from age-accelerating rays of the sun.
I have used this foundation for a while now and like how it looks on my skin. If you have no issues of blemishes or heavy concealing, this is perfect choice where you can have the skin care benefits and makeup all in one. This does give a radiant finish which I prefer in my face product. I did not have any breakouts or irritation from this foundation. The packaging is also a plus point, it has a dropper which is very convenient to use. For the application, I shake the bottle well, take one and a half pumps and dot the product on my face and then blend it along with pressing it into the skin. Based on the coverage I need, I can add more or less. One of the main ingredients in this foundation DMAE help provides firming benefits which give the results of the toned appearance of skin. Neuropeptides in this foundation activate skin renewal to address problems of skin aging.

Perricone MD No Blush Blush is a fragrance- free lightweight product with a texture like a serum. It provides a healthy color to the cheeks with benefits of skin care which include firming of skin, enhancement of facial contours, toned appearance of skin along with less noticeable fine lines and wrinkles. The Vitamin C Ester in this product heals the sun damaged skin and helps minimize discoloration and brightens the appearance of skin. The formulation contains sun protection of SPF 30.
There is only one shade formulated for this blush which is universal and adapts to the individual skin's chemistry, that makes the outcome unique for different skin tones. The packaging is nice having a small glass bottle with foot doe applicator. For the application, I shake the little bottle well, dab 2-3 drops with the accompanying foot doe applicator and then pressing and blending it with my fingertips onto my cheeks in a lifting motion. It does give a very natural healthy flush to the cheeks. The staying power is well over 5-6 hours on my skin.
Perricone MD No Lipstick Lipstick is a lightweight solid to serum lipstick with vanilla fragrance which is not overpowering. It is described as the lip treatment designed to restore a natural rosy color of lips. The shade is universally flattering and does adapt to a different shade based on the individual skin's chemistry. The Neuropeptides in this product help restore fullness and suppleness to the lips. I have two of these lipsticks, one on my vanity and one in my bag, I use these for hydration during the day and in the morning, I use it before I start applying my makeup and my lips are ready until I finish makeup to follow with a lipstick. I do feel that it gives a light rosy color to my lips, which looks natural and as they described, it will be different on different skin tones based on the individual skin's chemistry. The lips have a natural shine when I use this and do not notice any peeling or dryness while using this.
Perricone MD No Mascara Mascara is a fragrance- free lightweight Gel Serum product which is a lash treatment as well as mascara. The imparts fullness to the lashes making them look thicker and lifted. It provides nourishment which strengthens the lashes. The brush is dual faced root to tip brush with fine tooth comb which ensures easy and precise application. Dr. Perricone recommends “using the wide and flexible short bristles at the lash root to build thickness and volume. Then, rotate brush and sweep the fine, firm comb through lashes to lengthen, separate and define. Allow to fully dry before reapplying to achieve the desired look.”
Overall, I am really satisfied with the results of these products. I will not be commenting on the long term anti-aging benefits at this time as I am in my 30s and do care well for my skin.
