Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser is the newest addition to my skincare routine. It is also the first product from the brand that I have tried. Aesop is an Australian brand, founded in Melbourne in 1987. The brand pride itself on creating skin, hair, and body care products that deliver efficacy as well as sensory pleasure. The products are made with the finest quality ingredients that are plant-based as well as laboratory-made.
Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser is suited for normal, combination, and problem skin types. It is also ideal for skin types that are affected by polluted urban environments.
Key Ingredients
- Licorice Root – It is anti-inflammatory.
- Lactic Acid – It gently lifts build-up and dead skin cells without scrubbing.
- Blackcurrant & Parsley Seed extracts – they ward off free radical attack.
Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser has a soft herbal scent that feels fresh and floral. The scent is not overpowering but very natural. The bottle of the cleanser is designed per the other products from the brand. The dark glass bottle with very minimalist and modern design. The 100ml bottle of this cleanser did not come with a pump. I think it has to be purchased separately. It works nicely on its own as well as with the Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant that I will review very soon here.
Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser is full of antioxidants. It is lightweight and feels almost like a gel-cleanser. It is a clear, moderately foaming gel. I apply a small amount, almost half a teaspoon on my palms and apply on my face and neck. I keep it on for a minute or two before rinsing it off. It almost gives a clarifying result like a smoothing mask. Also, it feels soothing and calming on the skin once applied. It is gentle and smooth on the skin. In addition, I feel this clarifying formula also brightens the skin.
I did not feel it irritating my skin or causing any breakouts. It cleanses gently while offering mild exfoliation. Thus, the result is bright and clear skin. It does not cause the skin to feel or look dry. Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser has kept my problem skin in check since I started using it. I have noticed fewer whiteheads and blackheads as well as almost no congested pores. It calms down the skin, even the redness, and irritated skin.
I do like gel cleansers in general, especially for the summers. And have a few I like to keep rotating between based on my skin needs. Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleanser is now one of them.
