I recently started using Espa Skincare products and I am very impressed by the philosophy and concept behind the brand. I have been using The Purifying Polish, The Anointing Oil, and The Grounding Crystals.

The Purifying Polish is inspired by ancient purification ceremonies. It is a creamy exfoliating balm (not gritty like usual exfoliators) that transforms into a deeply cleansing polish as it gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities. Not just deep cleansing but it also moisturizes and smooths the skin leaving the skin delicately scented and glowing. The purifying polish has a beautiful relaxing aromatic blend of grounding Ylang Ylang, Ginger and Vetiver that soothes the body, mind and soul. I smooth the balm onto dry skin using fluid, circular movements travelling slowly and with intention across the body, breathing in the nurturing aroma before washing away under a shower of warm water. It smooths the skin almost turning into a light oil. My skin feels purified, rejuvenated, nourished, soft, and bright.
The Anointing Oil is a multi-purpose bath and body oil inspired by traditional anointing rituals. The oil is blended from pure, potent plant oils used for centuries in deeply soulful rituals of bathing and self-anointing. For a sensual bathing ritual, pour the formula under warm running water and immerse yourself into the bath, close your eyes and inhale deeply the intoxicating aroma. On emerging from your bath, the precious oils will coat the skin leaving it anointed with nourishing oils. This oil can also be used in micro-meditation rituals, wrist anointing, morning inhalations and scalp massage. The aromatic blend of grounding Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood and Vetiver truly ground skin, body and mind. The key ingredients include Andiroba Oil(Amazonian superfruit oil rich in natural vitamins, minerals and antioxidant properties), Hemp Seed Oil(a powerful antioxidant), and Sesame Seed Oil(It is known to benefit the heart Chakra responsible for unconditional love for others and self). I love how nourished, soft, supple, moisturized, and radiant my skin look.
The Grounding Crystals is a soothing salt soak inspired by ancient traditions that harness the power of minerals and water to re-energize and purify. The delicate detoxifying pink crystals leave skin feeling soft, nourished, and deeply cleansed. The aromatic blend of Ylang Ylang, Ginger, and Vetiver relaxes the body, mind, and soul. I sprinkle some crystals into a warm bath and swirl through the water, watching them dissolve. Then I breathe in their nurturing aroma and make it my intention to let go of any negativity as I sink my body into the fragrant water. I also love using it as a soothing foot bath to revive tired legs or a softening hand soak before an indulgent manicure.
I make it a weekly ritual to light my favourite candle from Espa and then spend some me-time while I use and relax with these amazing products. The heavy black glass jars look so luxurious and elegant. Overall, a beautiful range that nourishes the skin and now that we are in the middle of the pandemic, they are helping me so much to relax and unwind – not just physically but also mentally and emotionally.
