Although summer has yet to have its last moments, Chantecaille has released its Fall 2023 collection. Capturing the heart of wild Mustangs, the shades selected for the products reflect their majestic beauty.

The “Wild Mustang” Autumn Makeup Collection

Being one of my favorite periods, Fall is full of warm and earthy colors. Wild about nature, Chantecaille found inspiration from wild Mustang horses when composing her color palette. Chantecaille always supports nature and wildlife associations when launching a NEW collection, and this Fall, the American Wild Horse Campaign and their Utah Conservation Program are getting a helping hand.

The “Wild Mustang” collection comprises eight products ranging from eyeshadows and brushes to the iconic “future skin foundation” (review here) and skin tints. Decorated with various images of the animal, the collection wears a timeless and beautiful design. The collection is gentle yet buildable, with multiple finishes ranging from shimmering to Matte. Thus, I have selected my three favorite products to review, and boy, oh boy, are they giving subtle, glam vibes.

Chantecaille Matte Eye Shade In “Bay”

The Matte finish eye shadows reflect the spirit of freedom and courage. The shade Bay has a warm chocolate hue and can be used for multiple purposes, definition, or a soft smokey eye. Using fine pigments, the eyeshadow easily glides onto the skin for an effortless blend and no fallout. The highly-pigmented brown shade is perfect for a long-lasting fall look.

My Review – I absolutely adore this shade of eyeshadow and its ease of use. The matte eye shade can be applied by finger or brush for a softer look. The brown shade is elegant and can be used as eyeshadow, eyeliner, or even in brows. Also, the Matte eye shade is available in two colors.

Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shade In “Pinto”

This iridescent, light-catching eyeshadow is crafted from the same range as the previous eyeshadows. Using a multi-dimensional shimmer finish, these shades capture and reflect light for a soft and sensual look. The Pinto shade is a silvery mauve color that can be built up. The highly-pigmented shades are enriched with ultra-fine pearls that allow you to blend out the product in seconds. You can use these shades to create soft or intense eye styles; they work great to finish a look when placed on the inner corner of the eye.

My Review – The luminescent shades are one of my go-to eyeshadows for an elevated look. I love to layer both matte and shimmer finishes! Overall, the shimmer finish is perfect for taking eye makeup from casual to elevated and doesn't leave you with a glittery under-eye.

Chantecaille Lip Veil In “Laurel”

Chantecaille offers a softer, almost nonexistent makeup finish to their lip range this Fall. The veil-in-shade lipstick is the ultimate comfort, enriched with FairWild®-certified Baobab Oil. This delivers a luminous veil on the lips and long-lasting hydration. Laurel's rich pink nude shade slightly lifts the natural lip color for a shiny, smooth finish.

My Review – Extremely comfortable, this range of lipsticks is perfect for the cooler seasons. Easy to wear with any look, the fun pink shade adds a soft pop of color to the Fall look. Also, it helps keep your lips hydrated and smooth.

Ultra sun protection sunscreen is the perfect combination of skin primer and sun protection. Using a lightweight and oil-free formula, the sunscreen perfects the skin while keeping it safe. I use this primer under my everyday makeup as it acts like an invisible shield. Protecting our skin from harmful UVA/UVB is key to a youthful appearance. Fourth on the list is the Real Bronze Powder

Are you looking to enhance your sun-kissed skin? If so, the real bronzer gel powder is excellent! Its silky smooth texture allows you to structure and tan your face anytime, anywhere. Available in two shades, I use Sirena, which gives off a beautiful golden light. Also, easy to blend out, the bronzing powders leave a subtle shimmer on the skin, which is sure to catch the eyes of an evening. (Full review here)

Fifth is the Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer

If you are looking for alternatives to a foundation, this three-in-one tinted moisturizer is for you. This lightweight moisturizer is designed for men and women and offers excellent skin-smoothing coverage with daily sun protection. In addition, it helps smooth the skin tone and leaves a velvety finish. The tinted moisturizer is also great for antioxidant benefits and will keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. Sixth is the Luminescent Eye Shades

Chantecaille's pearlescent eyeshadows are a great way to brighten your makeup and widen your eyes. With their light-catching powder texture that melts onto the lids, you can create effortlessly glam looks. In other words, it is one of my favourite eyeshadows to work with as there is no fallout, and it is easy to build up the coverage without creasing. In other words, the cheek gelee is perfect for wearing alone or over makeup and has a smooth, buildable texture. Other favourites from the past include all the Chantecaille face masks (review here). It's hard for me to pick a favourite, but they have been in my routine for over three years. Le Wild (review here) and Darby Rose (review here) are two scents I have tried from the brands, and I love them.

The formula was created using a 60% water base. This makes it suitable for all skin types and easy to work with. Combined with circular pigments, the Future skin gel foundation provides medium-to-full coverage to hide any redness, imperfections, or dark spots.

The foundation has an oil-free formula; this is the key to its super lightweight and refreshing touch. Chantecaille has infused the foundation with skincare actives such as:

Do you know your skin undertone?

When choosing a foundation, we mostly get stuck with the shades. Although our general carnation is easy to decide, our skin is rarely white, black, etc. That is where undertones step in! Foundations come in multiple families of colours, but the three main ones are:

• Cool tones: Generally paler skin colours, the skin has an underlying pink tint.
• Neutral tones: Medium-tanned skin colours, the underlying colour is beige.
• Warm tones: Tanned or darker skin tones, the skin has an orange tint.

My Review

I have been using this foundation for a while now and adore the easy and natural look it gives to my skin. Not at all cakey, the foundation can be built up for higher coverage and adds a beautiful luminous sheen to the skin. I recommend using a primer or moisturizer before applying the future skin foundation. This stops your skin from immediately absorbing the product. The foundation comes in a pot container, allowing easy product access. Make sure to use a brush or clean hands for top hygiene. This foundation looks and feels amazing all through the day. It stays in place and looks very natural. Also, I love to combine the foundation with my vital essence serum (review here) for extra hydrating action.

Another Chantecaille makeup base I love alternating with the Future Skin Foundation is the Just Skin tinted moisturizer with SPF15. Also, I recently started using the new 24 Karat Gold Firming Moisturizer. It is the perfect base under makeup as well as my go-to nighttime moisturizer.

Giraffe Eye Quartet – Supporting Giraffe Conservation Foundation

This eye quartet supports the Giraffe Conservation Foundation. Giraffe Eye Quartet from Chantecaille Giraffe Collection has four flattering earth-toned neutrals. All the shades mix and match well to create a rich and defined eye look. The formula is lightweight and nicely pigmented. It applies easily and blends seamlessly. Moreover, I do not see any harsh deposit or any issue in blending them. The sparkly shades have no fallout and are set well. Overall, I love the mixture of textures and finishes, they do make the eyes pop. Therefore, it is definitely the palette I am going to use a lot this spring.

Lip Chic – Supporting Giraffe Conservation Foundation

Lip Chic is one of my go-to formulas for lips when it comes to lip colour and comfort in one. The formula of Lip Chic is a super lightweight and glossy lipstick that makes the lips look juicy and supple. The key ingredient in it is the Hyaluronic Acid that nourishes the lips and thus, making them softer and plumper-looking. Three shades that are launched to support the Giraffe Conservation Foundation include Jasmine, Freesia, and Willow. I am using Freesia and Jasmine non-stop in my everyday routine. The shades are: Jasmine is a neutral soft peach and Freesia is a flattering beige rose. The shades look flattering on most of the skin tones.

Lip Chic glides effortlessly on the lips and the consistency is perfect. This moisturizing lip colour feels nice and fresh on the lips. My lip feels nourished, supple, and comfortable. The packaging is so pretty, it is actually fun getting it out of the bag to reapply every few hours.

I am still loving and using the Fall launches from the brand that are truly gorgeous. For skincare, I am currently enjoying the reformulated Chantecaille Bio Lifting Mask+. It is lightweight and yet very nourishing. My skin looks firm and radiant. Chantecaille Gold Recovery Intense Concentrate A.M./P.M. is another high-performing serum duo that I recently finished using.
