The Trudon candle has a unique and irreplaceable scent. Bringing a soft breeze from the Mascara coast over the mountain tops fills the space with a green scent. The fragrance is subtle yet long-lasting to set the mood around the dinner table or living space. The high-quality wax releases a mixture of Blackcurrant Bud, Lemon, Clove, Ginger, Mint, and Apple. Also, it doesn’t end there. As the fresher notes slowly disappear, the candle releases warmer notes of Jasmine and Vanilla.

How to use it?

This slow-burning candle can be placed anywhere around the house. Ideally, a candle is suggested to bur for 2-3 hours each time. By doing this, you keep your candle healthy and don’t waste a drop of that precious scent.

My Review

I recently purchased this candle for my holiday events. Having already used Trudon candles for years, I have no doubts about the quality of the scent. The Abd El Kader fragrance has a deep yet refreshing green scent. Spreading around the room like a fresh air breeze sets a cozy and relaxing mood. The candles have a high concentration of perfume and, therefore, only need to burn for 2 hours each time. Slow burning makes sure to let the whole surface melt first. Also, this scent is available in four different sizes, depending on the space your candle will be in.

The Trudon candles are high-quality products that any candle lover would appreciate. Log- lasting scent, slow-burning wax and beautiful decoration. Overall, the candle ticks all the boxes for me. Over the years, I have collected multiple glass containers from the brand and repurposed them for decorating my house.

Trudon: Everything started in 1643 at a candle and spice store in St Honore Street, Paris. Rapidly becoming a provider for royals and the court Trudon grew his business and opened his independent Trudon manufacturer. Creating the most iconic scents around, in 2018 they launched their bee conservancy program.

Balmain is a loyal Trudon candle fanatic. He claims to use the candles in his home and studio, the feminine-masculine balance creating a harmonious ambience. He added Balmain's iconic marinière to the glass container. Carefully covered in gold leaf, each glass has its unique pattern.

The Fragrance

The red & golden design exists in two sizes: classic or great.

Classic size: Weight: 270g / 9.5 oz (as in the picture).

Burning time: 55 to 60 hours

With its highly concentrated perfume every room benefits from the candle. Existing in many different scents, this one is internationally known.

Inside you will find a mixture of different scents that seem to melt into one another. It starts with a floral and feminine touch and then gains masculine character with cedarwood, gunpowder and cigar notes. To finish off it incorporates a deep black rose note.

The Inspiration

The white beeswax of the Trudon candles is the key to its greatness. Offering endless hours of rich, comforting fragrances. Thanks to its slow-burning wax, it is also that you can enjoy this candle for such a long time. The wicks are made of cotton.

The emblem originates from a bas relief found at the old Royal Wax Manufacture,

belonging to the Trudon family. The glass holder is hand-crafted in Tuscany and inspired by the luxurious champagne buckets.

Burn your candle 2 hours at a time. This way you get a rich fragrance in your home and don't waste any.

Try to melt the entire surface of the candle. With its perfectly placed wicks, this should be no problem. By doing so you will leave no wax on the sides of the glass holder.

Then in 1811, when Napoleon the 1st was crowned, the house supplied the imperial court with the candles. The emperor gave his son only one present the day he was born, a Trudon pillar candle adorned with three gold coins showing Napolean's profile, the Imperial Pillar Candle. In 2007, the company took the name ‘Cire Trudon' and became a specialist in manufacturing perfumed candles. Today, it enlists well-known ‘noses' to create perfumes for the stories it wishes to tell. Each candle is still dripped and made by hand, perpetuating a luxury manufacturing which helps perpetuates the skills of its founder, Claude Trudon.

The wax formulas of the Trudon candles are the fruit of specific developments which are the source of its exceptional olfactory and burning qualities. When correctly taken care of, no smoke leaves a Trudon candle and no wax is left on the sides of the glass.

Cire Trudon Madurai candle is part of Les Belles Matieres collection. The Duke of Tuscany first brought jasmine in India in 1690, a flower originally from Arabia. Whether fresh or dried, they still play a quintessential role in India’s myths, legends and daily rituals. Françoise Louise de la Vallière was secretly in love with King Louis XIV, who made her one of his favourites. She bore him four children in the utmost secrecy.
