Molecule 01 + Patchouli

The perfumer linked this unique blend of Patchouli Coeur and Patchouli oil to the sixties and seventies. In this edition, the M01 fragrance is joined by natural patchouli extracted from the leaves of the patchouli plant. Classed a “moody beauty”, the perfume contrasts clean, soft notes and a round finish. The bottle also takes on a new image, with its transparent glass bottle decorated with a bronze/ orange colour.

Patchouli plays a massive part in the perfume industry and can be found in perfumes, even when you don't know it. This fragrant plant adds an earthy, woody and sometimes sweet touch to scents. It also increases a perfume's longevity, creating a noticeable trail behind you.

My Review

The M01 perfume is a love-or-hate scent, but I adore it! I recently discovered the original scent and spotted the range of M+ fragrances. The patchouli edition is an empowering and elegant scent. The patchouli has a smooth touch and makes the Molecule 01 (M01) smell stand out. Not overpowering but present, Molecule 01 + Patchouli fragrance is released throughout the day in a fresh burst. When wearing this perfume, I feel sure of myself. When wearing it, we may feel like the perfume has faded but rest assured; this is normal with the Iso E fragrance.

I would 100% recommend trying this fragrance out before buying it. You can purchase a small travel size or test the fragrance in stores. Patchouli is a unique note that may not fit everyone.

My Review

After trying the full range of perfumes in the M+ collection, this fragrance is my favourite! I adore the freshness and juiciness this perfume holds. Although the citrus note fades fast, it leaves behind a zesty Iso E note. I recommend applying this scent to the skin for a more extended hold.

The Iso E note remains hidden at first and slowly warms the perfume to become a sensual fragrance. It is an ideal scent for those who like a more intimate touch. This perfume is a great gift and easily worn, no matter the occasion.

Today we are trying out another perfume from the Molecule range. Surprising and unknown to the perfume industry, a new ingredient is about to awaken your senses.

The Concept

Each fragrance takes your senses on a once-in-a-lifetime experience, unlike any other smell on earth. The Escentric molecule brand has a large selection of perfumes, but the molecule range bases its scent around one unique molecule for each fragrance. These molecules are created in a laboratory and have the power to connect with each person deeply.

Molecule 04

The Molecule 04 (M04) fragrance is crafted around Javanol, pure and singular. With a similar olfactive note as sandalwood, its molecule has a psychedelic freshness that is highly addictive. Unlike natural sandalwood, Javanol has an extra creamy and powerful presence. This fragrance has a fresh woody note that bonds immediately with the skin, creating a sensual sillage around the person. As you move through different spaces, you will leave an addictive perfume trail. This scent is identical to the M01 fragrance(Review here), as its perfume, its molecule appears in bursts throughout your day. My Review

Sandalwood is one of my favourite scents, so discovering the M04 was a surprise! The eau de toilette has a beautiful, rich fragrance, the most mysterious perfume. The perfume is not super strong but sticks to the skin for a long-lasting result. I loved how warm and woody it became with time. Yet again, this would make a perfect perfume for both men and women and works well for the cooler season.

One thing I do not like about this perfume is the bottle. Made from transparent glass and decorated with a circle, the scientific design represents the brand but takes away the luxury feeling.

All in all, Molecule 04 is a great fragrance and is not too pricey. You can purchase it in multiple sizes, making it an excellent gift for sandalwood lovers!

Iris in its highest concentration

I recently reviewed the M01 fragrance from Escentric molecules and loved it. Curious to discover the complete m+ range, I purchased the collection, so you don't have to. Today I am trying out the M01+Iris scent.

Like all of the m01 collections, this fragrance contains the super addictive note of Iso E. The brand's first scent combines with three notes to create a unique and game-changing selection.

The Iris-based perfume is made from several varieties of iris roots. Using one of the rarest, most expensive types of Iris pallida absolute, this scent is elevated into a luxurious fragrant bomb. Also, the perfumer is very fond of this note and added it to almost all of the Escentric fragrances. With its powerful sillage and creamy powderiness, the M01+Iris scent will surely get you compliments.

What is Iris Pallida?

Iris Pallida is a beautiful purple flower that has overflowing petals. Put aside its attractive appearance, and you have a subtle, scented flower. If you love Iris-scented products, then the scent you know oh too well is actually from the plant's roots. With a more earthy, sweet aroma, the roots are used to extract oil.

You can find Iris in scents such as L'instant from Guerlain, Bottega Veneta, and Iris infusion from Prada.

My Review

Now that I know the Iso E molecule well, I understand why the brand created a whole range around this remarkable ingredient. The warmth and comforting Iso E are combined with a sweet and Earthy Iris note to create a perfectly balanced fragrance. Long-lasting, this stunning perfume is sure to get you noticed. Above all, the Iris note is an excellent addition to the M01 scent.

It is easy to wear and makes an excellent perfume for the inside of your jacket or scarf. If you prefer softer notes, then you can try the original M01. Overall, this perfume gives off a specific power and character from natural ingredients.

Have you ever thought of perfume as more than just a scent? Escentric molecules take fragrances to new levels, creating unseen scents that play with your senses.

Molecule 01

The Molecule 01 fragrance contains one unique molecule, ISO E. This fragrance was the beginning of the brand and revolutionized the perfume industry. Understanding that perfumes have more meaning to them, Perfumer Geza Schoen crafted a scent that brings ultimate comfort and reassurance. Hovering on the skin's surface, the fragrance has a hyper-modern cedarwood note. Extremely sensual and velvety, its smell vanishes and then re-appears in bursts of aroma. This happens as the molecule slowly releases. A minimalist's dream, this scent is intimate yet long-lasting.

The Molecule

The ISO E molecule was longly unknown to the outside world. Used as a base element to harmonize other notes. The founder of Escentric molecules realized this was a common ingredient in his favourite scents and decided to create the fragrance using it solo.

The ISO E molecule was created in 1973 in a laboratory and can not be found in nature.

Fun fact: The Iso E molecule is a critical element in most perfumes and is used to create a comforting touch.

Did you know that perfume/odours have the power to enhance our emotions? It has been scientifically proven that smells affect how we perceive a place or situation. This can be a good way or bad. This element is part of the science behind the ISO E molecule and the M01. Certain smells take us back to a time in our life, a moment we cherish, making us feel comforted or relaxed. It can also boost our mood and confidence, so we reach our full potential. This can also explain why some people prefer to have more than one perfume. Just like the days of the week, our mood is forever changing.

My Experience

Taking an alternative approach to perfume, the brand's fragrances always surprise me. I tried the Molecule 01 fragrance and adored it! The aroma is surprisingly sensual and definitely adds a touch of “sexy” to your attitude.

The molecule 01 scent is an invisible but powerful addition to your day-to-day life. I tried the perfume at my work office, curious to know if the scent would stand out from others. And it did just that. I got multiple compliments on my perfume throughout the day, leaving me confident. This scent is not overpowering and can easily fit any occasion. It is a mixed scent and could easily do both sexes. Like cedarwood, the perfume has a masculine presence that some may not enjoy.

Escentric Molecules is quickly becoming one of my favourite perfumes. I previously discovered the range of varieties in the M01 range (check them out here) and find them very addictive. Knowing what is inside our products is essential, and this brand explains all elements of their creation. Fully transparent, they offer a great experience from the beginning to the end. I recommend this to all those who enjoy enveloping, woody perfumes.

M01

The first perfume would be a brave move for the brand. With the mesmerizing fragrance containing 100% of Iso E, the scent is compared to a hyper-modern cedarwood note with a velvety touch. The molecule itself is not a natural molecule, it was created in a lab. The wearer seems to find that the scent vanishes and then reappears. Laying very close to the skin it bonds with our olfactory receptors.

The brand issued a warning that the scent is 100% hypnotic.

M01+

Geza wanted to push his work further, wondering what are the limits to this magical molecule. After seeing the success of M01 he wanted to create something different. So he had the idea of adding a single ingredient to M01. After researching the selected 3 scents:

M01 + Patchouli

This perfume is composed of the unique Iso E molecule that gives a warm cedarwood note and a singular aroma: Patchouli.
When designing the fragrance Geza envisioned a certain period: the sixties and seventies. To get the exact intensity he desired he used two parts of the plant:

•Patchouli Coeur for a clean and soft touch.

•Patchouli oil from Indonesia for a little bit of a stronger note.

You can purchase the fragrance in different sizes, down to 7.5ml. So you can always keep it close to you. Decorated with a minimalist bottle and a warm circular design.

M01 + Iris

Basing itself on the Iso E molecule it also contains the warm cedarwood base note. This time Geza was thinking about something else. As he explains, Iris is not easy to detect. It brings a creamy powderiness to perfumes. A true Iris lover, the entire Escentric collection contains it.

Inside the M01+ he uses the Iris pallida absolute. This is known to be one of the most expensive ingredients in the fragrance industry. It is said that Iris is very close to the scent you get when opening a new makeup powder or violet.

M01 + Mandarin

Like the entire M01, this fragrance departs on a warm cedarwood-like note. This time a zesty mandarin note joins it.

Mandarin is usually a short-lasting scent as it evaporates easily but Geza added extra shading. It is rare for two very different notes to create a harmonious scent. This fragrance is ever-changing, starting with 2 notes entertained and ending in a warm, solo.

This unique brand has created fragrance-free perfumes, changing the whole perfume industry.
