The Inspiration Behind The Fourth Aqua Cologne Forte

The well-known wardrobe of cologne forte fragrances is created from a sense of light, water, and freshness. In his latest addition, Francis found inspiration in the unique and magical phenomenon of rainbows. Thus, the perfect combination of water and sunlight, Aqua Media represents the rainbow's center with its glorious green shade and fresh aromatic notes.

Aqua Media is Latin for “water of the center” and is where the perfumes creation began. In addition, the French perfumer Francis Kurkdjian uses the unique method of building a perfume from its name.

The newest perfume has a mood-boosting effect on all who discover its scent. Composed of fragrant and tangy notes, the perfume invites us to welcome the world with open eyes and curiosity. Long-lasting, the green, aromatic notes bring a sense of balance and harmony to start your day. Therefore, Francis Kurkdjian created this scent with an admiration for the simple things and hopes that it brings inner peace.

The Notes

Below are the keynotes in Aqua Media Cologne Forte

• Verbena: Combined with tangy notes of Bergamot essence, the lemony and green facets of the Verbena are revealed—an extraordinarily joyful awakening to the perfume.
• Sweet fennel essence: Obtained by steaming the Fennel seeds, this aromatic essence liberates green and aniseed notes. When added to the previous citrus notes, the fennel essence becomes vibrant.
• Bergamot of Calabria: This sparkling burst of freshness is known as the “smile” of the perfume, obtained by the cold expression of the Southern Italian Bergamot zest.
• Musks: Largely used in the perfume industry, artificial musk is a long-lasting base note. Soft and comforting, they are often compared to a “clean” scent.
• Lastly, Hedione: Dating back to the 60s, this floral and woody note helps binds the other ingredients for a smooth and balanced perfume.

My Experience

After discovering the other Aqua cologne forte scents in this collection, I had to try the NEW Aqua Media. From its beautiful green bottle to the luminous and green notes, this perfume is the winner of summer 2023. Francis Kurkdjian perfumes have a unique character and are reliable for longevity. Overall, I enjoyed the tangy touch to this perfume and how it evolved into a more floral woody scent over time. Ideal for nature lovers, this fragrance brings a sense of happiness and peace to its wearer. Finally, I recommend vaporizing the perfume into neutral body lotion for a more intimate sillage.

Rose of No Man’s Land

Keeping in mind the benevolence and compassion of the nurses during World War I, they were called Rose of No Man’s Land by the soldiers. This is where the scent gets its name from and it is a tribute to the nurses who saved a number of lives. It was launched in 2015.

Characteristics:

• The perfume is a unisexual product, which is suitable for both men and women.
• It is a floral scent making it suitable for any kind of weather. It brings a certain freshness after application.
• Also, it is a 79.7% natural perfume which implies that it is not harmful to the body.
• The intensity of the perfume is rather delicate so it can be used as a daily-wear perfume.

Key Notes

The notes of the perfume are mostly floral.

• Top notes: Turkish Rose petals and Pink Pepper.
• Heart notes: Turkish rose Absolute and Raspberry Blossom.
• Lastly, Base notes are Papyrus and White Amber.

My Experience

Since all the notes in the perfume are floral, it has a fresh yet a little spicy sort of scent. There is a little hint of woody smell as well. If you do not like the fragrance of rose, then this might not be suitable for you as the scent of rose is dominant in the perfume. It is not very strong so I use it as an everyday perfume. It does not fade away easily but the scents change with time. Also, it smells peppery immediately after application but fades away to a subtle rose scent. At the end of the day, it's a mixture of floral and woody scents but overall, it's a great perfume.

Eleventh Hour is another creation from the brand that I like wearing depending on my mood and season.
