My Experience

I have dry skin. At this point, my skin struggles are rather obvious, fine lines and wrinkles tend to be more visible on dry skin. My skin had also loosened in some places and looked dull. I have been reaching out to this foaming facial wash as I do see a difference in how my skin feels when I am using this trio. Also, I do not remove makeup or sunscreen with this facial wash. I use it as my second cleanser to get the benefits of the nice formula. I take two pumps of this product and massage it with circular motions on my damp skin for a few seconds. And then wash it off with lukewarm water. It does not make my skin feel dry or irritated but I feel a nice clean fresh face. I see Glycerin is high on the ingredient list. Actually, it is the second ingredient, which means I get clean fresh hydrated skin. This is a keeper for me and is another hit for me from this brand.

Goldfaden MD Doctor's Scrub is a cult favourite product, loved and praised by many. It is a daily exfoliator that adds hydration and removes dead skin cells giving a brighter, radiant and healthier-looking skin. The key ingredients of this product include Ruby Crystals, Hyaluronic Acid, Seaweed Extract and Jojoba Oil. First of all, the scrubs I have used all my life are advised to be used twice or thrice a week. So it seemed really exciting and interesting that I can use this daily. And when I started using this daily, I could see why it is advised that way. It is a very gentle formula. I take a small amount of this product. Then, I massage it gently on my damp skin for 25-30 seconds in circular motions. Next,I rinse it off with lukewarm water. After seeing the results from this, yes the glow is real after I use this. I did use this scrub on my neck, decollete and body which did impress me. My skin felt comfortable, hydrated and glowy with no irritation or sensitivity after using this daily.

Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Clarify + Clear Mask

Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Clarify + Clear Mask is a purifying mask that draws out dirt and pore-clogging debris from the skin. This is a gentle mask with ingredients that improve the appearance of skin and avoid breakouts apart from treating the existing problem areas. This is a skin corrective and purifying mask that has some nice ingredients like Zinc Oxide, Sulfur, and Camphor. Zinc Oxide soothes skin and reduces the appearance of marks by working to form a protective layer on the skin reducing the appearance of redness. Sulphur works as a natural protector. Also, it regulates extra-oily problem areas and prompts shedding and exfoliation of pore-clogging dead skin cells, dirt, and oil. Once it is dry or after 15 minutes, I wash this off with lukewarm water. Then I follow up with my treatment serum or moisturizer. I have noticed a difference in the frequency of any flare-ups of acne as well as the size of my pores and intensity of my acne spots and redness. I love a good mask. And this is a great addition to my treatment masks. I use it regularly twice a week or as a go-to mask when my skin behaves.

I bought this peel a few months back, almost at the end of winter, and have been using this every other weekend or sometimes twice a week, depending on what products I see on the front of my skincare shelf, I do miss some favourite products because of so many options to choose from. That is why I have been very regular and consistent with the use of this peel so that I can write a proper review with my thoughts.

Peels – What & Why?

Peels are a form of exfoliation. Exfoliation can be done on the body or face based on the requirement and need. They help remove dead skin cells which may or may not be visible in the form of dullness, and dryness. Peels contain acids that loosen the bonds between cells and dissolve dead skin away. Unlike the regular facial scrubs which have physical exfoliating ingredients, peel ingredients are not grainy or hard in texture but they are like a cream or gel texture that sinks into the skin, targeting deeper layers of skin cells.

Goldfaden MD Fresh A Peel

I have loved the results of this peel. This peel has a gel-like texture. It comes in a beautiful white and green bottle with a pump to dispense the product. I take one and a half pumps of the product on my fingertips. Then, I apply it over my face including the neck and excluding the eye area. It is advised to keep it on for 2-3 minutes but as per my experience with peels, and the toleration of my skin, I keep this for 5-6 minutes. As my skin is tolerant, I do feel the tingly effect of this peel on my face.

I wash it with cold water and TA DA, my skin feels fresh and glowy. I use my moisturizer after patting my face dry to lock in hydration. This gives a smooth and fresh appearance to the skin. It's mild but effective. With regular use, my skin looks bright and has an even texture. With regular use, I do notice fewer breakouts. I make sure to use sunscreen in the morning whether I am staying home or going out, sunscreen is a must.

I am a hoarder of skincare products, I like the products that give luminosity as well as hydration to my skin and when the product is developed with the combination of science and nature, I would love to use it. While searching for any skincare product, my major concern is to have something that will work both without or under the makeup, and which can give me skincare benefits. I bought this oil a few months back and have been testing it on and off since last 7-8 months.

I use an oil in my skincare routine every day, mainly in the mornings and on the nights when I am not using any other strong night treatment. I cleanse or double cleanse my face, tone it, put on my serum and then few drops of the oil, followed by my moisturizer.

This oil is housed in a glass bottle with a dropper provided inside. The dropper works very well when you have to take few drops out, I am not able to fill the dropper fully, might be an issue with my dropper, but that doesn't matter as I just need few drops of it.

[Update – 13 July 2017] Lisa from GoldFaden MD was too kind to let me know that the dropper is designed as such to have the prescribed amount for the entire face.

I use only 4-5 drops of this oil, no more and no less, although it is advised to use 2 drops, this all depends on the try and experience that you need to do when you first buy a product. I use 4-5 drops of this oil either before my moisturizer or mix this with my moisturizer. I do not prefer to mix it with my makeup, no particular reason but I try to keep my makeup and skincare separate. I do not apply this near my eyes. This oil gives a very nice healthy luminosity to my skin even without any makeup. I do feel my skin behaves very well when I use this, more hydrated, more healthy without any breakouts or irritation. This is a really good option if you are looking for an oil that is suitable for all skin type and has some key benefits as described above.
