The new launches include Terracotta Skin Foundation Stick, Terracotta Skin Highlighting Stick, Terracotta Touch – the Terracotta Loose Powder, and I have a Terracotta powder which has been a staple in my makeup and stash for almost a decade.

Guerlain Terracotta Skin Foundation Stick

Guerlain Terracotta Skin Foundation Stick brings together Terracotta’s healthy glow expertise with a new, ultra-practical on-the-go format to slip into the bag. The formula refines the skin’s texture for an even complexion enhanced with a sun-kissed glow, while waxes and coated pigments ensure comfort and buildable coverage. I like how lightweight and creamy it is, blends seamlessly into the skin.

The formula is mentioned as waterproof and offers 12-hour wear – I have tested it in sweaty conditions for over 10 overs and still looks great. For the real waterproof test and my travel companion – I will be taking it with me for my beach vacation next month. It makes the complexion looks fresh and alive like healthy skin throughout the day. The foundation stick is available in 6 shades. 

Any Terracotta product is not complete without the signature scent of it, the fragrance of Terracotta Skin Foundation Stick awakens the senses. ‘The top notes reveal a joyful and sparkling accord of orange blossom and exotic fruits. The heart takes over with the sunny, feminine notes of jasmine and ylang-ylang, which play off the lightness of tiaré flower. In the dry-down, vanilla, blended with woody notes, gives this legendary scent all of its character and mystery. ‘

For me, the shade deep is dark for my skin tone and perfect for me to use as a contour. Although it can be used as a foundation or as a contour. I draw a 3 on each side of the face with the shade ‘deep' which is a slightly darker shade than my skin tone, by applying the stick at the edge of the forehead, then under the cheekbones and along the jawline. The formula blends nicely with a flat top foundation brush and also with fingers.

Guerlain Terracotta Skin Highlighting Stick

Guerlain Terracotta Skin Highlighting Stick is a concentrate of sun-kissed radiance to slip into the bag for an ultra-easy application in any situation. The formula illuminates and warms up the complexion to the desired intensity. It is hydrating and very comfortable on the skin. I tested this during the past weekend I went to the beach. For over 7 hours, it still looked fresh at the end of the day. The skin looks luminous and the stick is very easy to apply and carry on the go.

The highlighting stick is available in 4 shades for all skin tones, to use alone or in combination.  It can be used alone over sunscreen or moisturizer or over makeup. It applies nicely straight from the stick to the high points of the face. Or first, apply it on the finger then to the face, and then blend with fingers. I have swatched the shade ‘Gold'. It is perfect for use during the day and even during the night. And I can't wait to use it for the upcoming evening event coming up for me. The highlighting stick has the same fragrance as the foundation stick.

Guerlain Terracotta Touch

Guerlain Terracotta Touch – the Terracotta Loose Powder is a combination of corrective mattifying beads and radiance-revealing flakes that lie at the heart of this lightweight powder to offer the ideal velvety complexion.  It is perfect for touch-ups. Its on-the-go format can easily be slipped into any bag to enjoy a mattified healthy glow all day long. The formula brings softness and comfort all day long. Also, the integrated applicator delivers the ideal dose of product which is a really nice and unique design to avoid spilling and at the same time getting the right amount to apply.

This tinted loose powder is very finely milled. It has a velvety texture. In addition, it provides a mattifying effect while giving a healthy glow to the skin. There is a blurring effect on the skin, making it look healthier and fresh. The powder is available in three shades ranging from light to medium. It has the same signature scent as the products mentioned above. To apply, ‘Gently dab the applicator onto the back of the hand to begin using the powder during the first use. Then, repeat this step with touches all over the face to apply the product. Finally, smooth the powder with fingers or with the applicator to set it. ‘

And now sharing my love for the Terracotta bronzer again because it is definitely the best I have tried. The Terracotta powder by Guerlain is the authority in bronzing powders. It naturally reproduces varying shades of the sun, offering an instant natural glow in one quick, easy motion. The formula is enriched with moisturizing active ingredients and does not dry out the skin. It never looks orangey or chalky, but the perfect kind of shades for the skin tone.

Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia

Last but not least, coming to the summer scent I am wearing a lot. Aqua Allegoria is a continuously renewed collection that pays homage to the wonders of nature and beautiful raw materials. Delicate and cheerful fragrances that represent sweet and happy moments. Each spring, a new limited-edition Aqua Allegoria joins the four legendary permanent creations.

Flora Cherrysia belongs to the Aqua Allegoria collection, the first collection of intensely fresh fragrances in perfumery created in 1999. The range is based on the strength of Guerlain Perfumer’s expertise. The expertise dates back to the legendary Eau de Cologne Impériale in 1853. Each Aqua Allegoria is created with the freshness of a Cologne and the hold of a Guerlain perfume. The guiding thread of the collection is bergamot. The precious citrus fruit, “Calabrian green gold”, a key ingredient in the Guerlinade. 

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Flora Cherrysia evokes an escape along the sakura river shaded by blossoming cherry trees. A nap on the banks of a stream strewn with pink petals. Flora Cherrysia, the spirit of cherry blossom sprinkled with water.  This is a floral citrus blooming, delicate, and fresh scent. It is housed in a bottle with golden mesh which is a tribute to the famous Bee bottle.

The new launches are definitely worth checking out, I am so happy to have these on rotation.

My Thoughts

Both the powders are limited edition and everything from the packaging and the formula is worth checking out and worth falling in love, no doubt Guerlain bronzers are my all-time favorite.

As mentioned, I am a fan of the Guerlain formulas and their effectiveness. The powder has a very fine texture and shade. It is soft and blends beautifully into the skin. The formula is buildable and gives the most beautiful glow to the skin like so supreme yet natural. The staying power is another great thing about the formula, it stays on all day without any touch-ups. The ingredients include a fine blend of pigments that help with the dullness while creating a healthy natural glow.

The two shades work as a bronzer as well as a blush. They both work together to give a subtle natural glow. I use it by applying it in the ‘figure of 3', starting from the forehead to the cheekbones and down to the chin to recreate a freshly sun-kissed glow. The shade works pretty well for my medium tan skin tone as a setting powder, as a highlighter, and also buildable to give me that beautiful natural bronze. The powders blend in so nicely into my skin tone giving the natural radiance and healthy glow to the skin. Guerlain Terracotta Route des Îles is a Guerlain Terracotta powder in a limited edition called Terracotta Route des Îles. The packaging is luxurious, environmentally sound wooden pack (using wood from PEFC approved sustainably managed forests) contains a wide mirror and a two-tone powder block. There is a combination of the best-selling Terracotta shade 03, subtly iridescent, which naturally warms all complexions, and the it-color for summer, a slight gold shimmer apricot color, to illuminate the tan. The colors can either be blended together to warm the complexion and enhance the natural radiance of the tan or applied separately to achieve the desired intensity. The summer has just started and I do use the Terracotta Bronzers all year round. I have repurchased the permanent shade 3 few times and is a regular part of my daily look and as my skin is medium tan, it works as a bronzer for the whole year and also as an all-over powder on the days I have the most tan in summer. The formula never emphasizes my imperfections and does not cause any irritations or breakouts as with all the Guerlain products I have used till now. As this is a limited edition powder, I highly recommend you to check this out before it is sold out.

Guerlain Meteorites Le Parfum

Guerlain Meteorites Le Parfum – Eau de Toilette captures in a perfume all the freshness and subtlety of its mythical Météorites. Another distinguishing feature of these little-multicolored powder pearls, which reveal the beauty of every woman, is their delicate violet fragrance. Thierry Wasser, Guerlain’s master perfumer, reworked the violet in all its facets: from its green notes to its woody base, and even its powdery accents. The fragrance opens with apple for a fruity, slightly sharp note, while rose and violet fuse in a floral bouquet which is delightfully revealed through sensual white musk.

The fragrance comes in the same round bottle as Terracotta Le Parfum, with the beautiful addition of a silver-colored spray nozzle and a pearly pink cap. The textured paper label reproduces one of the symbols of the Meteorites range: the garland in the powder pearl colors enhanced with hints of silver.

I would say this is the most exciting launch and an answer to all the fans of one of the most famous and loved product – Guerlain Meteorites pearls who have been wishing and wanting a fragrance which smells like the powder. As a part of my regular ritual to touch up my face with the Guerlain Meteorites pearls, the first part has always been to smell it, and now that the fragrance has come in a bottle, I am so excited every time I use it.

The fragrance classification is powdery, fruity, floral, perfect for the spring and summer. Top notes are bergamot, apple note, green notes. Heart notes are rose, violet. Base notes are white musk, woody notes. The fragrance is soft, gentle, pleasant powdery scent of violet. The top notes come are bright in the opening which gives freshness, which transforms and reveals tender violet into creamy-powdery violet which does smells likes the meteorites powder. I do feel it is on the sweeter side, not overly sweet but there is the presence of sweetness. The fragrance is not over-powering and can be used as a daily fragrance and even for work. The longevity is over 8 hours on my skin and the sillage is very close like it is made to enhance your skin as is the Meteorites Powder Pearls. I am really enjoying this scent, it is bright, fresh, pleasant, soft, ethereal and feminine.

Just to mention again the Guerlain – Summer by Terracotta 2018 collection is a limited edition and I highly recommend you to check Guerlain Terracotta Route des Îles which I have been really in love with these days.
