My Review

Roja kindly allowed me to discover this scent; I can not get it out of my head. The Elysium fragrance is perfect for summer when you want something fresh, sparkling, and fun. This fruity, floral feminine perfume lasts long and has just the ideal intensity, allowing others to notice it without being overwhelmed. My favourite notes in the perfume are blackberry, sandalwood, and vanilla.

Reckless Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

From the name down to the scent itself, this perfume is about following your heart and your rules. The sunny and sweet fragrance takes its wearer on a grand adventure through the floral and warm notes. Releasing its scent in bursts of energy throughout the day, it is a feminine fragrance for the fearless and bold.

My Review

From the moment I lay eyes on the beautiful blue diamond bottle, I knew this scent would find a place in my heart. Roja eau de parfums are all designed to showcase the unique beauty of the scent. As a lover of warm floral scents, Reckless was a delight and impressed me with its long-lasting sillage. The part I most enjoyed about this Eau de parfum is how you experience all of the notes as the perfume evolves from fruity and citrus at the start to a creamy and silky base note. I recommend this scent to those who want sweet floral perfumes, as it is not overpowering but lasts all day. It would make an excellent gift for the holiday period.

As a lover of oud-based scents, I’m a huge fan of Roja Parfums. As a brand, they seem to deliver oud like no one else. In fact, they were the first brand ever to do so!

I’m one of those people that wear perfume every day – even if I’m not leaving the house. I don’t know why, I just feel like when I smell good, I’m ready to take the day on. Whether that’s working from home, or hitting the town with my girlfriends! The best part about this fragrance is that it’s suitable for both occasions – and just about everything in between, too. It’s also so classy and so elegant, that whenever I want to feel a million dollars, it’s the only one I reach for.

There are so many beautiful notes in the juice of this perfume. It has an element of sweet citrus to it, thanks to its zest of lemon and lime. It also perfectly combines fine fruits and florals to perfectly balance this out – like bergamot, fig, jasmine de grasse, rose de mai and ylang ylang. The best part for me, though, is the woody, heady twist that yet still manages to smell fresh. Spicy ingredients such as cinnamon, saffron, musk and sandalwood add a beautiful warmth to the overall scent, which I just love. And, of course, for me, the oud finish is the part that most stands out.

There is a reason why this scent is one of the fragrance industry’s most iconic scents. It has so many layers to it, which all stand out throughout the day. The scent lingers on the skin all day and is as strong at the end of the day as it was when first applied in the morning. It’s an expensive fragrance – and it smells that way, too. 

Roja Parfums Amber Aoud is extremely versatile. It would suit a businesswoman in an important meeting, just as much as it would a bride on her wedding day. It has so many elements to it, that there is something for everyone in this perfume.

A luxury fragrance house in its own right, Roja Parfums use the rawest and highest quality ingredients. In the words of the founder, Roja Dove, “when you find a fragrance you connect with, it helps you become your truest self.” And I definitely connected with this one!

Roja Parfums Enigma Pour Femme

The perfect blend of sandalwood, bergamot and peach, this perfume smells extremely exotic on first impressions. It has a lingering musky undertone, which sticks to the skin (and clothes – I can still smell it on my sweater even after I’ve washed it!), with a hint of rose to add some extra sophistication. There really is no need to go overboard when spraying it, either. Just a couple of spritzes on my wrists and neck is enough to last the day. This is how I can tell that the quality of this perfume is second-to-none. There is never a need for a midday top-up!

It might be expensive – but it’s worth it. It’s the type of fragrance I would choose to wear on my wedding day. I feel like ‘that girl that always smells nice’ when I'm wearing it. I get asked countless times about what fragrance I am wearing, which, as a perfume enthusiast, is always a good conversation starter for me!

As strange as it sounds – I also love the way this fragrance looks on my dresser. The bottle just screams luxury. Although, this isn’t just limited to this perfume – every product in the Roja Parfums range is packaged beautifully. Even when I’ve finished with the scent, I’ll definitely be keeping the bottle for display purposes!

Roja Parfums Enigma Pour Homme

For men that are picky with their aftershaves, this masculine version of the scent is perfect. It still smells similar but has top notes of smoky tobacco, cognac and vanilla – a great combination for a man that means business. There is still a fruity zest present, thanks to the heliotrope ingredient that smells like cherries, but there is also an added element of spice. Ginger, pepper and cardamom add the zest the fragrance needs to be a bit more manly.

I gifted this to my partner as he can sometimes be impossible to buy for. Generally, he will stick to his old-time favourite, Chanel Bleu. It was a risk, as it’s an expensive fragrance. Needless to say, he loved it. It’s a little too intense to wear every day, but that makes it the perfect ‘special occasion scent.

My Review

Roja Parfums Reckless Pour Femme is a sweet and sensual scent that is warm, soft, and powdery. It has a fresh opening as the other scents in the Essence de Parfum collection. The bright, zesty, and energetic opening with the top notes is beautiful. It is not strong but a nice intensity that makes you feel confident in your own self. The hint of pink pepper adds excitement and fun factor. Then, the sweetness of Rose de Mai is enhanced by geranium while the creaminess of neroli is enhanced by a hint of jasmine. Thus, adding sensuality to the whole combination. On the base, sandalwood adds a warm, creamy, sweetness to bring everything together and keep it intact.

Roja Parfums Reckless Pour Femme is very pretty and feminine. I am loving the opening of the scent and how it transforms into light floral notes. A light neroli and rose are so beautifully blended together. I do feel the pink pepper here and there before the sandalwood comes into the picture. The cinnamon adds a slight spicy pinch to it that balances the freshness with the warmth. The scent feels powdery a bit and very elegant as the day goes on. Overall, a beautiful fruity floral scent with a hint of softness and spiciness. The sweetness is just enough, not too sweet. It aligns very well with its scent story. I find it staying close to my skin and longevity on my skin is pretty amazing. I can totally see myself wearing it when I need some boost on a day I am not feeling myself. And on the days I feel myself, it adds assurance.

The scent story and the inspiration behind the fragrance resonate well with me as is the perfume itself. Roja Parfums Reckless Pour Femme is definitely an amazing scent I would recommend you to check out. I look forward to wearing it more in summer and fall.

I would not say it is a women's fragrance as with time and experience testing many scents, I have come to the liking of many scents that are promoted for the opposite gender. I wear scents based on my mood, liking, and what makes me feel good. Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme is a fragrance for women and I am totally in love. But I can surely accept it on a man too. That is the beauty of fragrances like this one.

With time, I have come to be more interested in knowing the story behind the scent. Like what was the inspiration behind the scent, how the perfumer envisioned it. For Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme, it is a beautiful story too. It says, ‘Fragrance is like a magical elixir: Invisible, a single drop can transform you into a goddess. It has the power to make you feel irresistible, confident, and seductive – where anything is possible. This magical elixir exudes effortless sensuality – giving you the power to light up a room, to leave an impression, and to get what you want.”

My Thoughts

Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme is a beautiful fragrance. It is a bright, luminous, and fresh scent in the opening for me. The fruity-floral accords grow on my skin so nicely and take a beautiful form. I can totally feel Rose de Mai, brilliant Raspberry, and Peach being more prominent on my nose and the skin. The mixture is so unique and silky smooth that I am really enjoying it very much. All three are blended out so nicely, there is no one dominating the other. The sillage is good on me.

As the day progresses, I can feel a light whiff of fruity notes of peach and raspberry transforming into a powdery rose–floral scent. The rose really is soft and sensual. The woody and musky base note mute it a bit while adding depth. The scent just sparkles bright and feels divine. It is not something that is bursting but it is more of a sophisticated scent that makes you feel its presence in a beautifully subtle way. Of course, I get compliments whenever I wear this.

The longevity of the fragrance on me is impressive. I wear it once and I am done for the day. By the end of the day, I can still smell Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme on the skin. On the clothes, it stays forever. This gentle fruity-floral is resonating with me so much and definitely a scent I am going to wear in the spring and the rest of summer. Overall, the perfume is uniquely soft, sensual, and beautiful. It has to be one of my favorite fragrances for spring and summer.

Also, I enjoy wearing a hair scent during the summer.
