The Lipslique

Finding the right texture in lipstick can be complicated. Some are high-pigmented but dry, others comfortable but with low coverage. That's where the Lipslique fits in. Lighter than classic lipstick and less shiny than a regular gloss. This sophisticated lip balm gives you comfort, pigment and shine. The Shades

This range of lip balms is available in twelve shades. You have a colour for every occasion, ranging from bright reds to fun pinks and natural beiges.

My top favourites are:

• Hevyn: A cooler beige/ rose that screams out “class”.
• Rubis: A red shade with an underlying blue tint.
• Bonbon: Translated, it means “candy” This baby pink is fun to wear.
• Lastly, Nu De Soleil: A peachy beige that works excellent with all makeup styles.

The Options

Although the Lipslique range is designed to be worn alone, you mix and match them with your other products. The colours blend beautifully but must be fixed with a powder afterwards. I tried mine over a usually dry lipstick, which made all the difference. The balm comforts your lips, allowing you to layer multiple shades. You can also give them a go as blushers.

My Experience

These are a must-have in your makeup bag. Since I purchased this lip balm, I have been constantly wearing them. These balms will deliver whether you are going for full glam or want something to lift your complexion. Extremely comfortable, the Lipslique range is the perfect balance between lipstick, lip balm and lip gloss. Undertones

Do you know what your skin's undertone is? If not, here is a guide to discovering it and choosing the shades for your carnation.

Start by placing yourself in a neutral environment. (white walls, white T-shirt) By doing this, you will rapidly be able to notice if your skin looks more pink, yellow or orange-toned.

• Pink: If your skin looks pink, there is a high chance it is a cool undertone. We are not talking about redness but a general shade. Paler skins generally have this tint to them, but not always. You can use correcting products that have cool, pink or neutral undertones.
• Yellow: With this undertone, you can use yellow, beige or neutral undertones in your foundation. If the yellow tint is very present, you can harmonize the skin by using a purple base.
• Orange/ Warm: Warmer skin tones should use orange, beige or golden undertones. These skin types are usually those that can tan pretty quickly.

How To Care For Your Wand?

​The brush applicator on Surreal Skin Foundation is not removable, so you must keep it clean and healthy to get the best out of our product. To do so, wash the brush tip facing down with a shampoo and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Please leave it to dry, and it's ready to be used again. You can do this once a week as the brush is synthetic hair.

My Experience

I recently tried the “Dew Drop” foundation from Surratt (review here), which has become my all-time favourite. I have an upcoming wedding and wanted flawless skin for the many photos that will be taken.

The Surreal Skin Foundation gave me beautiful smooth skin. Working as a three-in-one, the foundation blends onto the skin in seconds. I love how comfortable the formula feels, and it's great to touch up my face during the night. The coverage is excellent and hides all signs of redness and imperfections.

The Dew Drop Foundation

Hidden inside its extremely minimalistic designed bottle is a light-to-medium coverage foundation. Extra-light on the skin, its formula creates a beautiful dewy, hydrating finish, ideal for achieving that no makeup/makeup look.

How to use it?

Some previous users found the foundation a little complicated, so here is your guide to a quick and easy foundation application.

Depress the dropper to release the foundation. 1-2 measured drops should cover the whole face but can be built up if needed.

Apply the foundation in the centre of the face and, using a brush, blend it out. If you don't already have a brush, you can purchase Surratt's Artistique Foundation Brush. With a stiffer bristle, it makes the application a much easier process.

While applying your first layer of foundation, the dew drop dispenser will be refilled and ready.

Brush or fingers?

When applying your foundation, it all comes down to the result you want to achieve. Here are a few reasons to prefer using a brush to apply your makeup:

• Higher coverage: When using a brush, the product layers the skin equally, resulting in better coverage.
• Time saver: Using a brush will save you from getting your hands dirty and cleaning them repeatedly.
• Hygiene: Using a brush is much more hygienic.

My Review

After recently finishing my foundation, I was looking for a more natural finish to my skin. With summer coming up, I wanted a fresh, dewy glow and no more cakey, thick foundations.

The Dew Drop foundation is fun to use and looks beautiful. The foundation is lightweight yet long-lasting, perfect for oily combination skin types. I applied their foundation using a brush, and my skin was flawlessly corrected. It didn't budge all day long, even in my greasier zones. Dew Drop is exceptionally comfortable to wear and blends out in seconds. For my medium skin with golden undertones, shade 9 suits my skin perfectly.

One thing that I would modify is the dispenser. The drop release system helps you save wasted products, but it can be frustrating for those who want higher coverage. If you rush in the morning, you may have better choices. However, I am happy with it.

Surratt Dew Drop Foundation is excellent and gives the skin a natural dewy finish. It works great with my other branded products, and I will continue using it for the summer and look forward to discovering more from Surratt.

Surratt Expressioniste Brow Pomade is available in 3 new shades. The clear shade launched a few years back and has been my go-to since then. The three shades are Light Brown, Deep Brown, and Black. The clear version works for a natural, brushed-up result. Similarly, the tinted version is perfect for a subtle infusion of colour with density. It has a flexible yet firm hold. After coating the brows, they can be manipulated in any way required. In other words, it coats the brows in a very flattering yet natural way.

The best thing about this brow pomade is that it does not makes the brows stiff or crunchy. Just to clarify that the formula is not wax or gel. The brows look natural and dense. The applicator brush has two rows of bristles. Therefore, it is easy to apply the product per strand of hair. Also, it is easy to apply and stays put throughout the day. Moreover, it does not make my brows look dry or hard. The finish is very natural. For instance, my brows look moisturized and dense most naturally. Most naturally, I mean to say that they will have a natural definition. For instance, they will look dense, stay in place, and the tint will impart a natural hint of colour.

Shades & Swatches

I have swatched two shades – Light Brown and Deep Brown. Deep Brown gives me a very natural hint of colour for my brows. It makes the brows look dense while defining them. They stay in place in a very natural fashion. I think Black would be my shade for an intense dark look on the brows. Otherwise, the deep brown is perfect for natural everyday touch up.

I also enjoy the Sisley Paris Phyto-Sourcils Pencil and Thickening Gel. I alternate between this duo from Sisley Paris and the Surrat Brow Pomade.

Also, new liquid blushes launched from Surratt this month. They look so fresh and radiant for everyday wear. They are worth checking out.

Packaging

Surratt Beauty Artistique Liquid Blush is housed in classic Surratt packaging. The packaging is similar to Surratt Beauty Dew Drop Foundation, Surratt Beauty Torche Lumiere, and Surratt Surreal Skin Foundation Wand. In other words, I enjoy the bouncy sponge applicator to apply this blush. A little twist to the wand dispenses the perfect amount of product. I usually dab it directly on the cheeks. Blending it with my fingertips and the Surratt Beauty Blush brush is like a dream.

Shades

Surratt Beauty Artistique Liquid Blush is available in 4 shades. The shades are pretty much suitable for most skin tones.

I have the shade description below:

• Cantaloup – it is a golden melon shade
• Parfait – it is a pinky coral shade
• Barbe a Papa – cool bright pink shade
• Lastly, Classique – it is a warm magenta shade

My Thoughts

Surratt Artistique Liquid Blush has a lightweight and smooth creamy formula. It is very pigmented and buildable from sheer to the required intensity. For me, a little dot is enough to give a beautiful natural hint of colour. Apart from the colour, it also imparts radiance to the area. Above all, it does not emphasize any problem areas or wrinkles.

The formula is hydrating and blends very nicely into the skin. The longevity of this blush is pretty amazing. For instance, I have been wearing it all day for the last few days, and it stays put the whole time. At first, I thought that not all shades might be for me. However, since I started testing these, I have been quite impressed. All the shades are visible for my medium skin tone and look beautiful on the skin.

While I was in a hurry before an MS Teams meeting yesterday, I also used the blush on my lips. It gave a lovely hint of colour. Also, I looked more alive, having blush on my cheeks and lips.

That is the versatility I love about Surratt Beauty products. The formula gives some time to blend it before it sinks into the skin. In conclusion, I am impressed with this newest Surratt Beauty Artistique Liquid Blush.

Surratt Beauty Dew Drop Foundation is a light to medium coverage foundation with a dewy, hydrating, and natural finish. This foundation is perfect for anyone who aims for a dewy radiant finish, medium coverage, nice longevity, and natural finish. Also, as we approach fall and winter, this is perfect to give that extra dose of hydration. It keeps the skin feel and looks comfortable as well as beautiful.

The packaging looks so elegant with the cylindrical tube. There is also an innovative fine-tip dropper in the tube aka bottle that delivers the optimal amount of coverage, 2-3 drops are enough for my face to give light coverage, while 2 more drops tend to give more of medium coverage.

The foundation did not emphasize my problem areas or pores. It feels and looks beautiful on the skin without making it look oilier. Beautiful supple, dewy skin is the result which I always opt for. I use a flat kabuki brush or a foundation brush – both work great while fingers also do the job well. The main point here is that the foundation is amazing. It definitely is a keeper, highly recommend it. I have swatched 3 shades – 7,8,9 out of which 9 is more like my skin tone. The Dew Drop Foundation is available in 20 shades.

Prismatique Eyes

Prismatique Eyes is a cream and shimmer eyeshadow duo that adds a celestial twinkle to the eyes. These unique, double-decker eye shadow duos feature a matte cream shadow and a complimentary duo-chrome powder shadow. The powder shadow adds depth and prismatic shimmer when layered on top – overall to Mesmerize and glamorize.

The versatile shades can be used alone or layered together for a high-impact, multi-dimensional effect. The water-resistant matte cream shadow can also be doubled as an eyeshadow base. Or it can be swept along the upper lash line for a graphic effect. To apply, I use a finger or a brush to apply the cream shade to the lid. Then, I layer the powder shade on top to add depth and dimension.

Both the matte cream and the shimmer powder have a beautiful formula. There are beautiful shades that compliment each other as well as work well alone.

There is no fall off of the powder shimmer eyeshadow once applied. I prefer using it with the complimenting base which also acts as a primer and holds it well. The shimmer shadow also works well on the upper or lower lashline as a hint of shimmer.

Overall, amazing new launches from Surratt. They met my expectations. I am so happy to be using Surratt Beauty Dew Drop Foundation every day.
