Aesop fragrances have always caught my attention through the unique combination of notes. The Rōzu scent is the perfect example of a modern twist of the rose.
The Rōzu Fragrance
The Rōzu perfume is a perfect balance between tenderness and intensity. Created using floral green notes, the perfume tells the story of a fearless woman who travelled the world. Rōzu is a unisex scent with a vegan formula, like all Aesop products. Each note plunges you into a new universe and tells a story of a time or place: floral, spicy, and earthy.

The perfume is inspired by a modernist French nomad Charlotte Perriand. As she travelled the world, seeking to learn about traditions and lifestyles, she brought back many ideas and cultures. The scent tells the story of her life and how she challenged traditions. Constantly pushing the boundaries of elements, she was a true inspiration to Aesop.
The Notes

Rōzu starts on a fresh, floral note with a trio of Rose, Pink Pepper, and Shiso. The luminous, sharp notes seem to balance each other out to perfection. Not soon after you have discovered this, a warmer, round burst of notes adds intensity and sensuality to the fragrance. The heart of the fragrance contains Rose, Guaiacwood, and Jasmine. The perfume ends more earthy, using Vetiver, Patchouli, and Myrrh. This adds a masculine touch to the scent and will help the perfume stick.
The Story
Rōzu is all about the unexpected balance between notes. The perfume reinterprets the classical rose and separates it from its traditional associations. My Review
I recently stepped into the Aesop store and was impressed by the minimalistic, modern design. On my way around, I discovered Rōzu, the EDP. The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful color of the packaging—dressed in a deep pink shade with a brown glass bottle. I just had to give it a try.
On first impression, the perfume seemed intense. I tested it on my skin, and the fragrance revealed its true self. I love how the floral notes of rose and Jasmin smooth out the more vibrant touches of pink pepper and vetiver. Rozu is an excellent perfume for both men and women. The fragrance adapts depending on your skin's acidity, revealing a more floral or earthy note.
Thie fragrance stands out from the traditional scents and screams elegance. The Aesop fragrances are for those that want a perfume to match their personality. The scent lasted a long time and would work great all year round. I 100% recommend taking the time to discover this scent!
